CELTIC manager Brendan Rodgers intervened when stewards stopped a young Celtic fan running onto the pitch at Livingston.
The Hoops manager saw his side run out 3-0 winners at the Tony Macaroni despite playing the majority of the game with ten men after goalkeeper Joe Hart’s first-half red card.

The ex-Liverpool manager put a protective arm around the supporter as he calmly guided him off behind the goal to applause from Celtic fans. Observers responded online with “Good on him” and “What a man” after seeing the way Rodgers intervened. A third claimed: “That’s Brenders won the Green Brigade back over!”

Rodgers, 50, was seen walking over to the travelling Celtic fans to celebrate after full-time, with victory coming courtesy of goals from Reo Hatate, Matt O’Reilly and Daizen Maeda. The Scottish champions played the majority with 10 men after Joe Hart was sent off in the 28th minute for a professional foul.
The result, which keeps Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership, led to one overexcited young fan entering the field of play, where he was pounced on by stewards. Rodgers, though, quickly came to the youngsters rescue before guiding him back into the crowd.
