  1. Didnt he move up from 154? To 168? Why even say anything if you are gonna make lame excuses. Take the Spence route and just own the loss. No excuse. Especially weight cut… it's what you get paid for…

  2. He should just admit that he lost!

It's his fault that he gained all that weight in between fights. Zero respect for this guy.

  3. Wasn’t he just telling Chris at the weigh in that this is an easy cut and that he’d be making weight an excuse lol life comes at you fast huh

  4. His weight cut wasnt discussed when he won the first time just a few months ago. THIS means that he should've been fighting light heavy and cruiser instead of trying to beat up smaller men. Badou Jack, Canelo, his brother Callum, Bivol and the likes would wash him.. Basically… Eubank underestimated him 1st time. Eubank NEEDED that loss to learn a lesson, that i believe he will never forget

  5. I wanted Smith to win again because I find Eubank Jr. one of the most annoying fighters of all time (as a person). I don’t like this excuse; if you need to cut that much weight then you lack discipline out of the ring or you should be fighting a class or two up, but he started at 154. If the injury means the fight gets pushed further back or cancelled it’s better than losing in the long run unless it’s your last fight. Eubank needed that fight more than Smith.

  6. Embarrassing…I actually think Eubank was caught with an elbow in first fight which rocked him.

We saw the real fight & he was battered for 10 rounds.

All these exclusives, back injury, ankle injury, weight drain, cut 42 lbs??? Embarrassing!!!

  7. Great performance by Chris Eubank Jnr. But Liam Smith was clearly "off". It is almost laughable how disparaging some punters can be about a loser – similar judgements were being made about Eubank Jnr when he lost the previous fight. Smith was not making excuses about being beaten; he was seeking for reasons why he could not throw punches as he had in the previous fight. A 42lb weight cut in a short time seems to be a credible reason to me. It seems likely that this was also the principal reason why Chris was weak in the first fight. I would want to see a third fight – wouldn't you?

  8. How can you blame cutting 42lbs… who at MW gets to 200 plus pounds between fights, I mean seriously… fighting at MW but walking around at HW, what does he expect?

  9. Since he’s not black there’s sympathy. If he was black they’d all say he’s making excuses and a sore loser. If he wasn’t in a condition to fight he wouldn’t have

  10. Any fighter who blames the weight cut only has himself to blame.

You shouldn’t be cutting 42lbs, fighters should be fighting within 5-10 of their walking weight.
