Inspired by new signing Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and the energetic Pedro Neto, Wolves took the lead after seven minutes when Hwang Hee-chan finished off a brilliant solo run from Neto.

Wolves dominated the first half but missed glorious chances to add to their lead, before Cody Gakpo equalised 10 minutes into the second half.

Liverpool were on top for almost every minute of the second half and finally took the lead after 85 minutes when Andy Robertson arrived in the box to finish.

To add more pain to Wolves’ defeat, Hugo Bueno’s own goal gave Liverpool a third in added time, as Wolves fell to defeat.

  1. GON… GO OUT LADS… GO AND WIN IT 👊

    2ND HALF…ERR SIT BACK GET A POINT… 👌

FFS HOW COME WE LOST 😮

LOOK AT MONITOR LIKE BRUNO LAGE…

  2. Talk about a game of 2 halves! First half was absolutely outstanding 👏 A good goal and 2 or 3 chances, which they didn't take 🤔 Second half was absolutely atrocious! Absolutely rubbish 🗑 Wolves didn't do what had worked in the first half, but instead folded like an old accordion! Luton is a must win game now! Always Wolves 🐺

  3. You both sound as down as most of us.
    What a first half!
It has to be GN's half time talk saying 'sit back when you go out' because from the first minute it looked like a completely different team. Different set up, different approach…..
We all think we know better, but surely it was obvious Pool would come out fighting but given how awesome Wolves were first half, wouldn't it be better to say 'right go out there and give them hell for 10 minutes'. Pretty sure the team could have done that and Liv wouldn't have been expecting it.
    So painful.

  4. Well that was literally a game of two halves. First half was an amazing show of intensity and skill. Bellegarde looks amazing and will be a new Wolves hero if keeps these types of performances up. However we NEED to put away the chances.

Second half we just looked gassed and sat back far too deep for team like Liverpool to not take advantage. Not sure what happens in the second half for our games?? As for Sa’s clearance, well less said about the better. Onto Luton next week.

  5. Sick of losing. Especially when we can play some pretty dazzling stuff at times. Will Cunha and Silva's efforts ever translate into frequent, or even infrequent, goalscoring? Or will Hwang end up the season's top scorer for us with say 8 goals? Our man of the match was undoubtedly Joao Gomes, who worked his socks off. Lemina, Neto and new boy Bellegarde all impressive. Not the result we deserved, despite Liverpool ruling the second half.

A win at Luton surely next week. We must get some points on the board.

  6. Wolves will go down, other teams can score goals. I think we'll beat Derby Co. Record. What don't these owners understand. Teams who don't score goals get relegated

  7. The 'Elephant in the Room' not mentioned above is that Fabio Silva wouldn't make the starting eleven in most pub football teams. Just as we kidded ourselves that somehow Jimenez was going to come good (and didn't, he hasn't scored in 27 Premier League games) football commentators from The Express & Star need to call out bad players and bad management calls. And oh boy – Silva was a bad call. Move him out – cut our losses and move on, looking for a proper striker.

  8. Manager got hold of them second half …….. what ever he said ….it didn’t work , also subs ….defensive …did it again …lost again , Traora .not doing it why?<. Also why no Sasa ….!!!!

  9. Can't rely on the "three worse teams" thing anymore. A fired up Luton at home next weekend will proper fancy getting something out of that game. No guarantees we come away with anything let alone three points. It's gonna a tough grind of a season.

  10. As sad as it sounds, in a way I look forward to getting relegated, it will be fun to see us win and be competitive in games again, unlike now which is depressing. We are just not good enough for this league anymore and it’s painful😕

  11. Agree with what Nathan said. Not even a draw will do. Must win. If no win then O Neil can pack his bags. How does Fabio get to play over Sasa? Sa replacement is a must. If I see Wolves announce his new contract 😡

  12. Gary O'Neil sucks, period. The idea of this game is to attack and score goals. Defence will take their share if the oppo is on the back foot. The midfield needs creativity and you need 2 to push it to make it attack and defensive midfield. We put too much on on one young midfielder that drain and made him restricted to defensive duties.. Wrong concept on the 2nd half. I blame the manager. We have a team to be on the top half, but,we got a manager that holds too many negative attributes that make us lose the plot!!😂🎉

  13. We have neto chucking in the best balls of his career. 10+ per match. You telling me sasa wouldnt get on the end of 1-2 of them. I know hes coming back from injury but hes got to play.

  14. On the first half performance we should be a top six team, on the second half performance we are relegation fodder. Again not taking the chances cost us. BelleGarde had a great debut looks a bargain. Neto is back to his best "he will be next out the door for big money" Cunha is top class coming from deep but hes not a striker, he is missing at least one good chance every game. Kalajdzic needs to be play he is our only proven striker, as much as we want Silva to come good he never got a touch and just flapped his arms in frustration. What the hell is going on during the ht team talk, we come out in the second half of games looking lethargic and cant string two passes together and look a completely different team from 10 mins before ..its bizzare! . in the end if you concede that many goals every game, its a no win situation no matter how well you play!
