USMNT Captain Christian Pulisic is off to a great start to the Serie A season at AC Milan. For our Game Of The Weekend we focus on Milan’s 4-1 victory over Torino. Was the penalty call correct? So was Chelsea the actual problem and the reason Pulisic was out of form in the Premier League?

  1. CP has a lot of talent but serie A is a very tactical and complicated league to play in. In my opinion this year CP will net at least 12/13 goals!

  2. I see a lot of new ac milan fans and lot more yt channels talking ac milan. The pulisic effect is real. I love it.
    FORZAMILAN🔴⚫❤🖤

  3. The only reason why I would say Chelsea is the problem is because we have seen many players from Chelsea do great after they left to a different team.

  4. My dudes, it is not just Pulisic at Chelsea. It is Lukaku, Giroud…Even Loftus-Cheek looks rejuvenated. It was four managers, but it was four managers that were all fired. Teuchel won the Champions League before the wheels came off (with Pulisic as a major contributor). If one of those other guys was able to perform to the level Chelsea wanted and just used different players and did not rate Pulisic, so be it. But none of them were getting it done. Even Chelsea fans would see Pulisic come on and be dangerous, and they were like, 'Well, we won's see him again this month."

  5. Chelsea was %100 the problem.
As someone who is a Chelsea fan and watched all the games and followed all the news.
    1. They showed some players "grace" by trying to instill confidence in them through rough patches, but Pulisic NEVER had this patience or confidence from his managers or team. And he wasn't alone in this regard. Specifically, Havertz and Werner were awful for several games in a row but they would always start. If Pulisic had ONE bad game, he'd get benched, have to prove himself as a sub, and do it all over again.
    2. Chelsea had too many players and did not manage minutes or personalities well at all.
    3. Chelsea has lost tons of top talent that is playing for top clubs in all the top leagues. They were the problem as well? Abraham, Giroud, Werner, Jorgino, Kovacic, Alonso, Rudiger, Christensen, and now Mount and Pulisic? They won the UCL 2 years ago and have, what, TWO players left from that squad?!?
    4. The Russia stuff was unfortunate, but Lampard? Potter?!? These are the best managers you can come up with? And you don't think they or Tuchel were biased against US players compared to English, German, or Italian players?

C'mon. All these guys left. And many of them are some of the best in the world in their positions.

Pulisic lead the team in several P90 stats in every season. The exception being the the last season where he also saw the fewest minutes and the team, ironically, did the worse… and Raheem Sterling… STERLING… had his worse season ever. Does everyone honestly think Sterling is terrible too?

  6. Chelsea was a massive part of the problem. They continually gave 5,000-6,000 minutes a season to select players, and gave scraps to others, including CP. The coaching and owner carousel and the complete lack of consistency or team identity was destructive. Imagine getting hired to work at a company with 8 other people that do your same job in a 12-month trial, there is only one position available, and you know that several of the 8, including you, are likely dead men walking, while also being systematically starved of meaningful and consistent opportunities to show what you can add to the company. CP is not unique in any way in his Chelsea experience. Splash cash, hope it sticks, fire the coach and players when it doesn't and buy new coaches and players and rinse and repeat, all while watching many of those cast-offs experience significant success playing elsewhere.

I just wish the Chelsea fans would wish CP well and leave it at that, rather than put down Series A as a weak league where anyone can score (very insulting to far more than CP).

  7. Guys guys guys I have so much to say, I have been a chelsea fan for over a decade way before I ever heard of pulisic in fact when he came to chelsea I had never heard of him but was ecstatic that being from Texas chelsea was going to have an American on the team. Its laughable the guy in the middle naming coaches that didn't trust him or its not the coaches fault then mention sarri when pulisic never played for sarri,he was bought during sarris tenure but was loaned back to BVB for the remainder of the season, when he finally got to chelsea sarri was gone and lampard was his first coach. Its been a while but he didn't play much his first year at the beginning but after he got lampards confidence that's when he went on the lockdown pulisic Era when he was the best player in the premiere league during that time if not best top 3 so for that guy to say he's not chelsea or top 4 level is preposterous. He pretty much lead chelsea to a top 4 finish so they could qualify for the champions league the following year which they ended up winning, they would have never been I the completion if it wasn't for lockdown pulisic and I stand on that comment till the day I die. Also that same year he scored in the FA cup final before pulling his hamstring a game where we should have beat arsenal. Then the next year we go on that incredible run with tuchel where he got 1 or 2 motm performances in the champions league against lille or porto, also scoring in the semi and assisting to mason mount in the semi vs madrid. But that season for whatever reason tuchel for sure didn't rate or like pulisic for whatever reason and really hurt his game, confidence etc it was sad to see,he was playing left wing back, right wing back, false 9 it was ridiculous he was deployed everywhere but his favorite position left wing he would play right wing I can guarantee to you that year he maybe played 25 to 30% on the wings and 75 percent out of position all over the pitch.Lampard knows how talented he was and gave him the #10 shirt, that's saying something but tuchel really messed with that kids head you have to remember he's only 21 22 at the time. Then last year I don't even have to explaine chelsea were a dumpster fire and embarrassing to watch everyone played like shit 3 coaches in a year then they buy mudryk and madueke then the writing was on the wall it was his time to go.His numbers look bad as far as goals and assists per appearances but that's misleading due to playing out of position and comming in for 10 minuites here 15 20 minuites there etc. What hurt him for sure were the injuries and their is no denying that.Anytime he was on the field he always looked dangerous and was trying to make runs and create but it just didn't work out.He really grew on me as you can tell but that kid has some serious talent and I think milan now that he has a coach that supports and backs him that will make all the difference and he will defiantly shine and be in the conversation with KDB and Salah as players that left chelsea to become great.

  8. I honestly think Roy is new to football, it's all PL for him lol. My guy what's PL level? He won't reach PL level? Look at salah he was a mediocre player at Roma and with Liverpool he tore PL, such a dumb take my guy Chelsea is always the problem and then it's Pulisic

  9. I disagree with this. If Pulisic was the only inconsistent player, I would agree with everything, however, that was not the case with Chelsea. Chelsea played favorites by allowing a select few players fighting through the inconsistency to regain their form while Chelsea was unforgiving to those they did not favor. Pulisic was also often played out of position during the 2021-22 season where he scored 8 goals and could’ve scored more if played as a winger instead as a wingback. Tuchel randomly benching Pulisic even after great performances on top of that did not help. During the 2022-23 season, Chelsea made it obvious they really wanted him gone. They gave him very little chances all while the starting wingers was performing poorly. Just like the 2021-22 season, there was a severe lack of merit in the way Chelsea gave players minutes. All while their favorites was performing poorly, they did not allow the bench to prove themselves nor offer them chances to redeem themselves. There is a reason why Kai Havertz, Mount and Modryk are currently performing badly. It’s because they had playing time handed to them when they shouldn’t where they where not put in a position that forces them to try doing better. That is a sign of multiple bad coaches who played it to safe and was way to toxic to those on the bench.

When a lot of Chelsea players wanted out, instead of Lampard looking at himself and the conditions the players were in, he 100% blamed the players for their lack of passion for Chelsea. I’ve seen Chelsea fans getting upset at players being upset for the lack of opportunity to gain minutes, yet want players who are hungry to achieve things. How are you suppose to achieve anything when you are not trusted by your coach to step up even when those playing over you are performing poorly? Yes, Pulisic had multiple injuries. But there are players Chelsea’s coaches trusted who had more injuries and is more inconsistent because of it. Look at Chelsea right now. They have multiple players who are more injury prone than Pulisic and more inconsistent. You cannot tell me Pulisic was the problem looking at that.

  10. Chelsea is where potentially great young players go to die. So many great players became great only after leaving Chelsea – KDB, Salah, maybe soon Pulisic?
This should be a lesson for future American stars – never be lured there by the siren song of a huge salary.
I wonder if this is why Folarin Balogun ended up going to Monaco and not Chelsea. Can you just imagine what Pulisic would have told him if he called him to ask about Chelsea?
I hope Chelsea sink into the Championship with all the crazy buying of new players every single season.
As for the "constantly injured" label – that seems to be a problem with every single Chelsea player except the ones who sucked, like Mount and Havertz. Kante, Chilwell, Reese, and a bunch of the new signees from Chelsea this season (I don't even know their names anymore since I've STOPPED FOLLOWING Chelsea since Pulisic left) have all gotten injured, constantly.
Does Chelsea possibly overtrain their players? I'll bet they do.
Yeah, 100% it was Chelsea's fault.

  11. One thing that the Chelsea and EPL owners fail to understand is how much Pulisic raised the monetary value of their league. If he can have continued success in Serie A, it's going to be a major boost to the finances of Serie A. NBC Sports paid a HUGE sum for USA TV rights to the Premier League in November 2021, just a few months after Pulisic helped Chelsea win its second ever Champions League title – $2.7 billion for six years until 2028 ($454.5 million a year). In contrast, CBS Sports/Paramount paid only $221 million for three years worth of Serie A US TV rights, in March 2021 ($73.7 million a year). That deal is ending in 2024, and if Pulisic is still lighting it up in Serie A, look for the bidding war for US TV rights to skyrocket.
Meanwhile I'll bet that viewership of the EPL on NBC Sports has taken a big hit, especially with Leeds USA going down and losing all of its Americans, and now with Pulisic leaving Chelsea. I'm sure not watching much of it anymore.
You guys should do an analysis of the US viewership numbers of these leagues! Really!

  12. Musah will get his chances. Milan plays near 50 games a season, the rotation aspect is something that everyone forgets about. Musah will start a fair number of games, once he gets up to speed with Pioli's tactics and setup.

  13. Chelsea failed to institute a singular tactical system w/a coach who directed the scouting & acquisitions staff to find the required players for MORE THAN 6 YEARS! Their unbelievably wealthy, but dumbass owners (the current one included) simply bought the most expensive, "shiniest toy" in the store every single year. Stupidity AT ITS FINEST! How is this even a discussion?! Chelsea were operated by morons, and may even still be. Boehly's strategy for overpaying through long-form amortization & high wages still will likely preclude him from off-loading under-performing players, unless they do so at a major loss. FFP will eventually catch up to them. Boehly for all his enthusiasm & financial strategy has still continued some of the same poor principles of operation that hampered the prior owners and coaches.

  14. ive been a milan fan since i was 11. i was instantly drawn to that legendary red and black and the great players from the 2000, Pirlo,Sheva, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Kaka, Ibra, Pato, Maldini and the list goes on… I ve been through it all with this team and never lost faith.. Its great to see Milan rise from its banter era… its great to see the new era come in… but i just cant feel some type of way with these fans that just like milan cus of Puli and the americans that came in i just feel like yall bandwagon fans and arent real fans. im not trying to hate tbh, i appreciate the new attention were gettin but maybe im just an old millenial now talking LMAO

  15. The fault lies with both. Chelsea played Mount on the wing too many times for Pulisic to not have been given more of a chance but any time Pulisic looked like he was finally filling out that Chelsea shirt he'd just get injured and lose all momentum and it's not like he's Kante or someone that once he's fit he just gets in the team, he's not at that level.

  16. You can't say puliSWAAAG was inconsistent when he wasn't getting a consistent role. The one run of good form he had was under lampard on the left wing. Then he was playing wingback on the left and right. It's bs the way he got punished for not doing well playing out of position.

  17. Chelsea was the problem. Look back to when he was bought. He was originally bought for Sarri, whom even commented he didn't know anything about it. This is the first time he's played for a manager that wanted him going all the way back to Klopp at Dortmund.

Where I sort of agree is with Chelsea needing to win now and how they always bought new players. They were always under pressure to play new signings, leaving Christian on the bench. This is after he and Giroud carried Frank Lampard's Chelsea into the Champion's league. The same Champions league they would win a year later with big contributions from Christian in the semi's against Real Madrid.

The other comments here are correct, Christian never got the long leash that other players got. And very few Chelsea supporters remember anything other than Havertz scoring the winner for them in the UCL, which by the way, gave him an enormously long leash to stink it up the next year.

  18. Dude I’m sorry, but there is no way that the USA has ever looked like a more complete and dangerous team when pulisic has been on the bench. That’s why he had to save them in that game from the bench. I don’t wanna run through the litany of man of the matches for USA. He’s averaging a goal a GA every 1.08 games for usmnt over the last 7.5 years and you’ll notice he’s busy playing in champions league or formerly the epl so he doesn’t get the luxury of blasting off against the concacaff Caribbean teams, imagine If he did. 👀👀. Secondly it was entirely Chelsea’s fault bc he lead that team in GA for 4 years with one every 1.76 games as a freaking rotation player, he was number one in goal
To shot conversion rate, the only
Player over 20 percent. He played 8000 less minutes than mason mount and only
Scored 6 less goals than him!!! Yet that ownership and mangers believed mount was worth 65 million. He was also second in big chances created just behind mount. So no, Christian was not
Inconsistent, based on the time on the field he was the most consistent. And you’re
Seeing why Chelsea got it all
    Wrong.

  19. This guy in the middle is wack. Chelsea is the problem. I watched them for years and pulisic was always one of the better dribblers. But then they played him on every position under the moon. He's better now bc of what happened to him

  20. Chelsea and the managers are the problems The thing about pulisic is he thrives under managers that believe in him and trust him none of the managers at chelsea did that you could say lampard was the closest back when pulisic hit that lockdown but once lampard came back for a short time he no longer trust him now lets get into tommas freaking tuchel he also treated pulisic dirty tuchel even said in multiple interviews that he only thinks pulisic is only good on the bench that is a huge red flag. Thankfully pulisic finally left and found pioli he is going to thrive under him

  21. Ding bat on the right embarrassing himself
Then middle fraud says something dumber
Sarri?this is problem with social media these dumbest takes ever
    Chelsea is the problem
Chelsea is run bye the English propaganda and to claim he wasn’t wronged us just typical of the problem that the clowns who like soccer are the ones who got picked on,stop trying to be excepted bye the make believe English audience in your nerd minds

  22. Pulisic is world class and will always be iconic for USMNT cause he is first world class player with highlight reel skills and just the way he carries himself on and off the field, many US kids can be inspired and admire him.

Chelsea was the problem. They didn’t know how to utilize Pulisic to his best abilities but it was also inconsistency due to injuries and managerial decision.

  23. Guys chill out with going so crazy for Pulisic… We all want him to succeed and we’re happy when he does well but you don’t have to wet your pants over it

  24. To many subpar managers also conditioning was not that great because if you remember last December and last January they had 10 players out on injury he’ll Raheem sterling and pulisic are both injured in the first 30 minutes of one match
