Ramsdale should have been dropped for his mistakes in the final part of last season (though fairly he did have external issues) this is where a have a top GK replacement would have helped… all players have a dip in form, injuries etc so you need at least 2 top quality players for each position… GKs need to adapt and change now.. the game is changing, there's far more games and more at stake… but the English press love to create drama where they can…..
As much as I love Ramsdale, Raya is definitely an upgrade. I'm a lot more confident with Raya around. Even though a small upgrade over ramsdale, he does everything that little bit better than ramsdale. Especially on corners.

Both are excellent keepers BUT I believe that Raya is BETTER than Ramsdale with his feet and Raya's just more composed. Ramsdale can be erratic on occasions and has a mistake in him….
Remember that Ramsdale replaced our old number 1 Bernt Leno to little fanfare. Emmi Martinez also left after putting in stellar performances between the sticks so WHY all this noise?
The reason is because the man being benched is ENGLISH!!! Putting that aside, this is high level sport and the best man usually plays….

Raya smart guy,his ball distribution and control of the tempo is something good that would have worked against Fulham
