  2. Believed in Ange, leaving Dier, Hugo Lloris. I'm angry. I'm making the team bad again. Did you forget 63 points last season? Are you going to repeat it again? Levy OUT !!!

  3. I may be totally wrong, but I believe that Ange would have stated to Levy prior to taking up his tenure that if he didn't get the backing from the board, he would not have even signed.
Ange has proved in his previous appointments that you don't have to pay millions for a really top player.
Ange is getting a younger squad unlike, Conte who didn't believe in younger players, i.e., Sarr,Bissouma ,Udogie. Conte sent them out on lone, unlike Ange, who has played them.
Ange has also bought in other young players to integrate into the squad over we next few months.
I really believe that we will win the League next season.
This season, we are building.I understand and know we have had no silverware for 15 years, but given how much the side declined over the past 3 years, don't expect miracles in the first 12 months. I can see a lot of supporters calling for Ange's head should we not win or make Europe, but we have to understand and give the guy time.

  4. Our players always go missing at the Emirates. I'm not convinced Ange has changed the mentality enough to get a win there. Liverpool always get the better of Spurs as well. Sheffield is must win on Saturday. Can't go 3 games without a win.

  5. Just to correct you, Chris, the board didn't give him 'exactly' what he wanted, he stated he needed more centre backs and Ange has substantially backtracked on his initial statements, now saying that this project was never going to be completed in one window.

Whereas if you take a look at the amount of incomings and outgoings at Celtic, they managed to give Ange EXACTLY what he asked for in one window, reinforcing him again in January.

Great content, just wanted to make sure the board didn't get away with this detail just because there's a feel good factor right now 😂😂

  6. Chris … IT IS NOT THE AMOUNT OF MONEY SPENT !!! It´s WHO we buy with … Odogie, Vicario, Benny, Kuvu … being prime examples of the way forward ! N´Dombele was Pooch´s choice and it was WRONG !!! Paratici has shown the way to do it and long may it continue !

  7. I don't think we ever thought we would win every game under poch, this time we have that missing belief. Board is still one of the biggest spenders, just not the wisest. #COYS

  8. Ground should only ever be The Bill Nicholson Stadium. Sod the corporate sell out to woke fanatics like Nike. Let's celebrate our greatest ever manager

  9. Chris – there's an argument to be had that says that, if you want to 'invest on the pitch', you need to make sure you get your scouting/recruitment process world class first. It's after all pretty dumb to think that you can have a bunch of numpties blagging out of their backsides and expect £200m of transfer spend to yield results. It's actually worse than that, since if you have highly paid/exorbitantly paid failures on the books, you'll be jolly lucky to be able to get rid of them. All this is in fact more important for a side that doesn't have a trillionaire sugar daddy as owner, since it's less likely that you can buy the Mbappes, the Messis of this world to win anyway. So my view is that you need to ensure that you invest properly in your HR/scouting/contract negotiating team as well, because if that is world-class, you will make fewer mistakes concerning who you sign, you are more likely to be selling players for an accounting profit than a loss and the club's reputation for making the right signings will actually be a selling point when trying to pitch to potential new signings. Right now, you can pitch at how well Vicario, Udogie, van der Ven, Maddison have fitted in.

It's also fair to say that Levy spent £200m+ this summer on new players (OK, he recouped a shedload on Kane), so he's starting to use the 'stadium dividend', which will undoubtedly show up in 2022/23 accounts courtesy of all that Champions League money, a full stadium and plenty of non-footballing events.

The acid test of Levy as Chairman is whether he continues to invest in the squad or starts to tell fans that the next ten years is about construction projects. Fans are paying a very great deal of money to watch football and its incumbent upon the Chairman to respect that and not say 'I just want a crowd of dumb tourists who are so uneducated about football that they'll pay a huge premium to watch mediocre football, because for them it's all about taking selfies'.

  10. I wouldn't say we have loads of quality in the middle bissouma and Sarr so we need bentancur as hojgberg and Skipp are Average back ups the quality drops alot

  11. Great update as always Chris. I disagree about more money being spent. If you look back through the seasons weve spent money. I think its fairer to say that the money needs to be spent more wisely.
