You guys have been asking for me to get guests on… shame it was a FLY! (2:27)
I had always assumed that Foden would end up centrally, but I am not convinced he is quite there, yet. He is an unbelievable talent, but he still lacks the ability to slow the game down. It sounds like I am being highly critical, I don't mean to be, but if he could add that aspect to his game, he would be World Class.
For me the best position foden can play is 10
Southgate doesn’t know ball
Foden and Jude man. They have a fearlessness to their game. Southgate is being contradictory at this moment. He can't say that after choosing his lineup.
I've always rated Foden since his debut, every time he came on he was so dynamic with the ball. How he isn't one of the first names on the sheet for City and England I have no idea. I think he's brilliant in the middle but he also gets a lot of goals on the wing, shooting always low and hard too – either way he should be in the starting line up every game!
Stockport Iniesta , skip that – lets allow him to be Stockport Messi on the RW – he has the talent to score goals and drop in and create magic.
Bench.
As long as he’s in the opponents half he can play anywhere
It is still playing in the middle but just on the right side of the middle. Compare Sakas heatmap with Foden and you can see Southgate isnt playing him as an LW but more of a RAM
His best position is ON THE PITCH…. Wether for England or City…. I’m a deep Blue fan, but if he keeps being frozen 🥶 out, then he needs to leave…
Btw, I love Grealish too, but he can’t do what Phil does ( G & A), Phil is MILES BETTER…
His best position for us is in a midfield 3 of rodri and kovatic. However to enable alvarez to play he is better drifting in from the right. Pushing walker forward.
Thanks again for some excellent analysis Jonny…👍
Foden's best position is as the next player to go to Arsenal :p. you can have havertz!! it'll never happen but we can dream down here in second place. could you imagine Odegard + Foden
Southgate’s a chump,he’s no idea what to do with foden
I’m happy with him anywhere on the pitch,he’s brilliant and he seems to be happy with what he’s doing at city.
Fortunately or unfortunately how ever you look at it he’s brilliant where ever he plays and I think it’s great we’ve got such an outstanding player like this in our ranks
SO HAPPY TO SEE THE BOY'S IN BLUE WITH TOP RATEINGS, HARD WORK PAYS.💙 PEP GUARDIOLA IS BACK😁 , LET'S GET THAT WIN OVER WESTHAM NEXT . I HOPE ARE PLAYER'S ARE NOT TO TIRED FROM THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK. THIS WILL BE A REAL TEST FOR MAN CITY ESPECIALLY WITH ARE INJURY LUST REGARDLESS WE HAVE A TOUGH MATCH COMING UP , WESTHAM WILL GIVE IT THERE ALL AND TRY TO TAKE TOP. WE MUST STAY FOCUSED AND MOST IMPORTANTLY MAKE NO MISTAKES. A LOT OF HATERS WANT US TO LOSE THIS GAME BUT COME ON CITY WE THE BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD 💙🔥💙🔥💙🔥💙
Foden's best position is on the right wing….You only need to watch the league cup final against Aston Villa to decipher that
For City, on the bench for me. He hasn't lived up to all the hype. Two years ago he needed to take the step up to the next level, which he hasn't done. It's the same for England.
I think one of the first things pep will be asked for in his press conference is his opinion on Southgate’s statement. With Kovacic out injured he has the option of playing Foden, Bernardo or Nunez in that central role. I wonder if he’ll put Foden there to prove a point.
Oh thank goodness u posted something other than ur crazy English media with their all day blah blah 😑 blah about Old Man 👴🏻 UTD Miss Maggie AKA Hairy Maguire‼️🙄 England Top Own Goal Scorer 😆🤣
Foden's best position is on the pitch in front of an open goal.
Because el wey’s father 🧑🏼 is left footed and he likes being on the right
That’s why I don’t get why when Grealish “right footed” was playin on the left, some folks were thinking he’s takin over Foden’s position
U r right…ur analysis better than the pros n so called “pundits” n that sh*th0le talkSPORT show which I call talkNUTS filled with man city jealous haters‼️🙄
No he didn’t start much last season because of injury n then appendix…not pep’s fault or another player takin his position
He’s City’s Golden Knight 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Hv u mentioned how many trophies he won n he’s just 23 👍👍
Who cares multimillionaire who doesn't know or care you exist, get a grip.
Foden is pressing from the right against newcastle and in attack he is in the pockets. He is essentially doing both one defensively one attacking. Southgate interesting v scotland saying he wont play foden in the 10 then plays him in nearly a 10
watch the hilights of city newcastle. foden plays in the right 10 when attacking but when defending he plays on the wing
Philyaaboots was my FPL name, in respect of Phil! This year I have not signed up due to major issues with that site! The heatmaps are great for analysis of Phil's position, but if you overlay all of them for this season so far, clearly most of his time is spent on the right, coming into central positions! Great analysis Jonny!
Hope all is well Jonny! Looking forward to the game Saturday. Are you doing a watchalong?
Great points!
