      Many people have been moaning that £35m upfront and £20m add-ons is too low, but they need to think about it. As it t was either that or lose him earlier, as Brighton got Europe from the deal, which is worth a lot more than £55m as it raises the club's level and status, making them more attractive for better players, advertisers etc etc the list is endless.

      Personally, I think it is a very clever work by Barber and Bloom. 👍

      Pathetic argument Simon, it happens relatively from the Prem to Championship to league 1 and right down to the bottom. Bigger clubs sign smaller clubs players. Players want to progress and clubs can't stop them

      one day they will say transfer fees are ridiculous nowadays, tomorrow they will say clubs should only sell for large amounts of quid. the things they say to remain relevant.

      Simon should know better than that, he should be commending Liverpool of their good business sense. The player was advertised for about £80 to £85 millions but Liverpool bought the player for £35m

      I like Simon but he’s a 🔔end at times. You pay what the other club are willing to accept. Looking at Klopps net spend is phenomenal relative to what he’s won. Liverpool have invested a lot in to developing youth.

      35-40 million is about right. Prices for players are getting crazy these days!
      No player should cost more than £100mil. Rich mans board game now. Absolutely ridiculous! One day soon we will have half the football league go bust but that's ok because a premier league player costs in excess of 50mil.
      Enzo is never worth that money.

      McAllister is a good player. But him Hendo , Fabinho and Jones is a bang average prem midfield unit. LFC need two more players better than McAllister. He isnt a Marquee player imo.

      i usually don't chirp my 50p worth but i've seen a couple of snippets from this show and in particular Simon Jordan, his views are so incorrect its unreal, the fact he says then comes the Liverpool's of the world who can just buy anyone, does he really think Liverpool do that? that's the likes of man united, Chelsea and city. Liverpool of the last 5 years have mostly been players signed who have thrived under Klopp to become world class and did'nt start there Liverpool careers as class players.
      couple of times i've noticed when Liverpool are mentioned Simon has a completely incorrect statement to say, not sure whether its on purpose to spark controversy and ultimately start a comment war for the benefit of talk sport, if so fair play 😅, or does he simply dislike Liverpool

      That's how buy-out clauses work. You pay the clause and that's it- you're free to talk to the player.
      No add-ons, no bonusses…
      I like to thank Brighton and their fans though. Class!
      Hope you go further next season lads! (and lassies) 😉

      Anyway if a player has second thoughts or if there is too much competition or we feel that someone wants a payday, we move on and we move on quickly!

      The only 2 stars who we indulged, were Bellingham and Mbappe- and those aren't Liverpool signings- they are stars, which we don't go for under normal circumstances. It was a nice detour, but ultimately ended up prolly costing us 4th cause we could've gone for others.
      We don't sign stars- even in our heyday.
      We've always been the sum of our parts. Always.

      FSG sell 11% of Liverpool to RedBird capital for £535 mill in 2021 but kept the money for there american businesses . The money spent by lfc since 2021 has been from money generated on the pitch.

      By the way redbird capital now own AC Milan and Toulouse and now 11% of Lfc and they are looking for a bigger percentage of lfc.
      I think the era of franchise football is around the corner. Its not just the qatarian wanting psg and man utd.
