    HOW LIVERPOOL SET UP WITH CODY GAKPO 🤩



    In this video, James Allcott takes a look at Liverpool Football Club who have just announced the signing of Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven. This is a huge transfer for the Reds, as Gakpo is a top-class winger with plenty of goals and assists under his belt. We can’t wait to see him in action at Anfield, tearing up the pitch and scoring some screamers.

    If you’re a Liverpool fan, you’re going to love this guy. Gakpo has got pace to burn, excellent dribbling skills, and a knack for finding the back of the net. He’s going to fit in perfectly with our attacking style of play, and we can’t wait to see him link up with the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

      Klopp said when signing Nunez is a working progress and Klopp and all his coaching staff will be working on his weaknesses that is for sure. Look at the Villa game you could hear the Liverpool fans chanting Nunez’s name because he started the press and well and truly worked his socks off.

      All other oppositions fans that slate him as he has only joined 6 months ago not every player can hit the ground running some take time and Klopp has said Nunez is a working progress.

      Then this is why Liverpool’s recruitment is the World’s best recruitment team in the World. While Liverpool are beating Villa Julian Ward and the rest of the recruitment team getting to sign Gakpo an hour later we go and sign him.

      I am a Liverpool fan of 52 years and I never sore this deal coming just like Fabinho came from no where and Utd where chasing Fabinho for 2 years and then Liverpool from no where signed him 3 days after we lost to Real Madrid in Kiev not one Liverpool fan sore Fabinho deal coming just like Gakpo.

      What a time to be a Liverpool fan and I can see Liverpool signing a midfielder in the transfer window that is for sure roll on Leicester YNWA

      Diaz & Jota are long term injuries , Diaz is out indefinitly , Lateral knee injuries are very bad with long long recovery times.
      I think its a great signing and will only improve the squad

      I think that it was a necessary signing as it kinda gives the clarity for the future of the club. I personally think that liverpool might change the formation by the end of the season into a 4-4-2. now with gakpo in they can have diaz play from left wing, nunez and Gakpo up front. we have seen elliot being devastatingly good through the inside left and the 4 midfield setup would totally unlock his potential once his defensive workrate increases over the years along with his physicality.
      Most importantly this means that pressure on the centre midfielders decreases as klopp will have fabinho, thiago, henderson, milner(until he is there), bajketic, keita (if he doesnt leave) as realistically good depth until they get a top notch midfielder in the summer (hope its bellingham or declan rice).
      up front, there's also jota, firmino, carvalho oxx as backup so LET'S GO LIVERPOOL!!!

      Good video, James! What I would say is United are broke. They absolutely have no means to buy in the Jan window. It’ll be a loan, hope they scrape top 4 and then utilise the new takeover money in summer. Gotta feel for Erik here.

      i like what you said, its all about having options. if you compare liverpools bench against the likes of city chelsea and arsenal, our bench isnt as varied and it hurts us when we try to change the game, we arent able to. when jota and diaz comes back, we will have an abundance of varied attackers tht can change the game

      I also thought it was 'hakpo' due to the way some commentators and louie van gaal said it (similar to the g in his own name in fact) but apparently his name is ghanaian not dutch so i think it is with a g

      As a Liverpool fan, necessary? No. An opportunity too good to pass up? Absolutely. From what I've seen he is very strong with both feet, it could mean Salah gets so valuable rest and rotation which will prolong his career (hopefully at Liverpool). He can also play centrally up front and more importantly gives us a chance to change a system within a game by going 442 or 4231 which could be key in knockout matches in UCL and valuable points in the Prem. Overall, he's a great signing to have, we couldn't afford to wait until Jota and Diaz came back, we had to buy. It might cause us a little selection headache going forward but when competing against the likes of City, depth is the key

      I think it points to the 4-2-3-1 with jota and Bobby playing in that 10 role with Diaz or gakpo on the left with Nunez up top but also allows Liverpool to move players around when u have so many players that are flexible in position plus I don't think we will see Diaz back this season

      Lol Shut tf up mate if you don’t know what’s going on at Liverpool !!! Diaz is out until April !! That’s why we signed Gakpo !!
      And We could switch in 442 or in a 4231 formation with Gakpo behind Nunez and Diaz as RW

      Liverpool should play 4-2-4 with gakpo and jota as strikers and Diaz and Salah on the wings, both gakpo and jota can drop and move around and salah and Diaz can cut in

      the signing of Gakpo would have been needed at some point in the future so getting it done now just sped up that process. also, the fact that we signed him means we've taken him out of the hands of any other premier league club or champions league club. we will see the midfield situation addressed in january with maybe one midfileder being brought in, but we should also see the arrival of Bellingham in the summer

      Also means if we are down and need to go all out attack we can play a 4231 with gakpo in behind Nunez and Diaz and salah on the wing. Attack is looking a lot better just need to sort out midfield and possibly another CB

      Thing one of the main reasons is we have nothing on the left at the moment with Jota and Diaz both injured. Long term you have Diaz, Nunez, Jota and Gakpo who can all play LW and ST, with jota and diaz having some experience playing RW. All interchangeable, main focus now should be midfield
