Here is a new analysis of Leandro Paredes.
Born in 1994 in Argentina, he played for Boca Junior before going to Roma, he was on loan at Chievo Verone (2014/2015) and Empoli (2015/2016) before returning to his club. He plays regularly, but mainly as Daniele De Rossi’s substitute.

I love the way this player embodies the “Regista”, which a rare profile in football. Like many registas, he used to play as a 10/enganche/trequartista before being repositionned in front of the defenders. He now plays more like Thiago Motta than Riquelme.

  1. He would be such a great cover for Jorginho at Chelsea. Maybe, he could claim a starting spot over the Italian if he tries to speed up his mental analysis during any given game.

    Welcome to Chelsea!

  2. You can see the similarities between him and Riquelme.. especially the comfort he gives to the receiver when he makes a pass
