Imo we Evertonians must give the new owners a chance to prove their worth, if the deal passes all scrutiny. Should like to think that Farhad Moshiri, whose only legacy so far is our new ground, would not want to endanger his reputation, what there is left, by purposefully selecting dubious investors for the takeover of Everton.
Hopefully the Everton players will give a very good performance on Sunday. Spirited with fight, still calm and sensible.
And thinking also beyond next Sunday, surely our squad is now much more balanced what it has been for a while, especially regarding our forward and winger situation. There will be chances created and goals. Must hope that the midfield can be industrious and the defence tight.
We have the players to take us towards the midtable. That should be the first target this season.
