It’s Southgate’s fault
I don’t understand how Southgate is blaming the fans and the media for the “hate” against Maguire. It is criticism!! Southgate picks him when he’s not played any minutes, not in form and probably not confident so he brings him on and makes mistakes. I do feel sorry for Harry but ultimately it’s up to him to improve on the pitch not have his mum come out and make statements for him. Are we not allowed to criticize football players for their performances?! Didn’t want to go to west ham where the pressure would be off him and give him a chance to improve his game, lost the captaincy, 3rd or 4th choice for his club. That’s his fault for underperforming. If he doesn’t like the criticism then work on your game. If southgate doesn’t like people criticizing him then maybe don’t pick him until he’s back to performing at a good level!? FA should have sacked him after World Cup! Donkey!
