    Pep Guardiola is hoping Manchester City complete the signing of defender Josko Gvardiol within the next few “hours or days”.

    The Manchester City manager was speaking ahead of Sunday’s Community Shield against Arsenal.

    The 21-year-old Gvardiol was undergoing a medical with City on Friday afternoon ahead of his proposed move from RB Leipzig.

    The treble-winners are closing in on a deal for the Croatia international and are understood to have agreed a fee of 90million euros (£77.6m) with Leipzig.

      @5:57 Pep spot on Barca using their media to twist players – they still have not paid for Ferran Torres past the 18 month due date – City COULD report them to FIFA – Barca cannot have anymore City players until they pay past due and all future payments are made up front.

      A professional player always have to seek winning more, especially when you are in a position to win titles, which is rare and most players don't have that privelige, they have to enjoy being competitive and winning more, they will enjoy being relaxed in their retirement.

      Sad that Gvardiol desperately wanted to join Liverpool and has been a Liverpool supporter since a child… but city just has so much dirty oil money and breaches FFP so flagrantly that he couldnt achieve his dream of playing for his boyhood club. Sad that is has come to that in football these days.
