Mbappe the only replacement for salah
I have zero illusions that he will move here but I just want to say that I've never seen evidence that Mbappe is the dirty mercenary people like to say he is. He has always been focused on his goal of playing for Madrid. The acid test was when he was offered a billion to play in Saudi for a year. It would have facilitated more than hindered his Madrid move next summer but he refused and you can't say there wasn't at least an aspect of concern for his image in that decision. I just think his character deserves a lot more respect.

Yes, Mbappe would be disruptive to our current model. We don't have an alternative model and it's unlikely we'll sign Mbappe until after Jürgen Klopp leaves the club. Could Klopp find a way to accomodate Mbappe? Sure he could, but he would need the entire Liverpool structure to back him too, and as we have seen recently, that's not something that can be counted on blindly. Liverpool under FSG is currently unable to absorb someone like Mbappe.
Heya Craig! Nico Williams release clause is up to 115 million, which is mad but if we sell salah for around 250 and let him leave after the January window, I would take him by far.

Would love Nico Williams at Liverpool. I'm a Bilbao fan and watch them every week. Nico has great pace and technique. He'd be more than a handful for any defence

I don’t think we could get Mbappé, it’s just leverage to squeeze as much out of psg or rm, but if he really wanted to, you do it. The marketing the jersey sales, the lfctv subs etc would bring in a ton of money. I wouldn’t believe everything said about him, not liking the direction of a directionless team would be frustrating, and dealing with Neymar and sharing the spotlight with Messi would be tough for someone of his caliber at his age.
