Kim Jae min will be a great backup to varane/Martinez he can play both rcb+lcb and is very fast and agile. Rabiot on a free is a decent option and a upgrade over mctominay but I think rabiot can do a job in away games will he have a same impact as erikson no he won’t but rabiot can be effective in away games as a stop gap signing it’s not all doom and gloom rabiot is a good player

Phil Jones has chosen to stay at United to get fit enough to even train. He put in extra work in order to give it one last go and then broke down again in his first training session. Leaving to go and work with a lesser medical team and support structure to help him try and get back would have been dumb. He will retire this summer, sadly for him
The comparison should be made with Maguire. He needs to be the exact opposite of him, in mobility, speed, on the turn, under pressure and overall reading of the game whether on the ball or off it.
I'd like him a lot but man just like Haaland I would not be surprised if that release clause is jumped on the second it's active.
Kim Min Jae would be a great signing for us. He is another warrior class player who is a quality centre back. If Ten Hag is seriously looking at him then he is definitely trying to sign the right type of player we need.
This would be a brilliant signing… alongside Martinez, it would be the best CB pairing and the depth with Varane and Lindelof is elite.
