Former Liverpool Captain Jordan Henderson sat down earlier this week with the Athletic newspaper to give his side of the story about moving to Saudi Arabia, the LGBTQ+ community and how Liverpool & Klopp did not try to keep him at the club in the summer.
Henderson insists his move to the Saudi was not driven by money, he believes he can change the culture in Saudi Arabia and acknowledges the hurt caused to the LGBTQ+ by now plying his trade in a country where being gay is a crime.
The question is why give the interview? is he lying by saying he hasn’t moved for the money? How will Liverpool & Jurgen Klopp react because it appears Henderson has thrown them under the bus.
