  1. He never showed up in the finals including England Euro Final and a German Super Cup! I think deep down he regrets leaving the PL especially how Spurs play under Ange! He’s actually trying to convince himself he made the right move and realising the world watches the PL but couldn’t give a monkeys about German Mickey Mouse league! That’s my thoughts!

  2. As an Aussie and an Ange disciple I had hoped he'd leave because he's not Angeball material. Yes world class but wrong profile.

  3. Opinions are like assholes everyone's got, I think this is a dig at levy n Co not the club or fans and yes we made him the player he is today.. I hope his wishes to go and win big do not prevail and the club he left goes on today win loads of competitions.. COYS šŸŽ‰

  4. I think Harry was just sharing that he’s excited and happy at his new club. Let’s talk about how well some of our guys did in their international matches.

  5. Sean, I view it all a little differently. Harry is looking in at Tottenham now and seeing positive developments and progress and probably a little surprised. It’s almost as if he is thinking, how can they do well if I’m not there???? It’s sad to say it but …I think he would like to see the Club implode and fail in his absence. That’s immensely disappointing. Ange is going to show Harry that a team is built around the collective rather than a high profile individual. COYS ā¤ļø

  6. Hes just pointing out the truth Bayern are a huge club that are serious about winning leagues and cups whereas levy's a cheapskate thats happy to get a europa lge spot we definitely dont have that big club mentality we know who hes blaming levy not being serious about winning trophies and not backing pochettino because he didnt ever think Poch was a big enough name spurs fans digging out Harry kane when he was the only bloody player that kept us up there among the big clubs leaves a bad smell hes entitled to have his say after the way he was treated by levy

  7. I have no problems with ex-Spurs players chatting to the media about our short-comings if they are speaking the truth. I, however, always take what the story-hungry, hunting media say with a pinch of salt. The media have a consistent habit of twisting players' words and taking them out of context to cause controversy. I, personally, don't believe Harry Kane would disrespect the Club. Also, I haven't seen the context in what Kane has supposedly said, but what he has been reported to have said is true in my mind. This story is just the media up to their usual poor and fake reporting, that is not worthy of serious debate.

  8. Been saying it for 2-3 years. The managers kept changing, but the leadership group didn't. How could they expect a different culture with the same mediocre captaincy? I was ready to spill the whole squad from Dec 2022, but Ange identified the real issues and which players to keep for now. He's a smarter man than I.

  9. Is Kane salty that he hasn't been missed… in fact, quite the opposite and after only a handful of games ?
Irrespective… his comments are very disrespectful.
Further… where is the challenge in going to a club that wins everything, with or without him ?

  10. The club wasn't going all out to win. Year after 22 years they proved they were not going all out to win. I don't think Kane was taking a pop at the club at all. Far too much is being read into his words. Just look at the recent changes on recruitment and youth policy. What was being done before was shamteur, poorly managed with no accountability at Board level.

  11. FELLA, this Kane statement is absolutely rubbish at best, who cares what he thinks to be honest as it sums him up in general. More like he is looking over his shoulder thinking why is Spurs not missing me as the evidence is blindingly obvious we are a much better team with out him. What ever he wins at Bayern will never be as good as what he could of won with Spurs that trust me will become a reality in the near future under our new leadership. Who would nor want to play in a team that is dedicated to entertain and attack that Spurs will eventually produce on a regular basis especially playing as a striker. Kane has cocked up big time and will miss out that will eventually tag him as a spurs jinx. Give it time and you will see him try and talk himself out of what he missed out on as one things for sure, Bayern are not winning the champions league in the near future and let’s face it Bayern would win the German league whether Kane was in the team or not.

  12. Sour grapes from Harry, he misses Tottenham so much, even more now when he sees the squad togetherness under Ange!! He keeps talking about us, move on Harry, we have, you are and always will be a legend of our club, but we I think are better without you, goals will come from everywhere now, lead by Captain Sonny!!

  13. Harry never turned up once in any semi final, final in his time with us, and should not of even started the Champs League final, so he should maybe question his own mentality first!!

  14. Wasn't Harry Kane part of the mentality problem? He should have just acknowledged the good things that he got from being at Spurs and left it at that. Being patronizing and condescending is anything but acceptable. I only hope that Daniel Levy has taken note of his snide remarks and not even think of bringing him back to the club in any coaching capacity in the short or long term. He can move on and so shall we…

  15. Why should Spurs smell like roses when it didn't? I agree with Kane. We don't have a top-club mentality. We WANT to win but don't feel the NEED to always win. Those are two very different things. Why do you think the term "Spursy" was coined? Yes, the club provided Kane with the opportunity but it was a mutual thing: we had needed him for a long time. Like all reciprocal relationships, if one party does not get what he wants, it is time to leave. Any club will be happy to start and give an opportunity to ANY good player but will be quick to discard these same players later. Do you remember how Pat Jennings was discarded to the Gooners because the then-manager didn't rate him anymore? Just see how some Spurs fans are calling for Dier, Lloris etc. to be rid of as quickly as possible today. I can't help feeling that Lloris wants to leave also (not the only reason) because some so-called fans have been venomous towards him and conveniently ignored his good service. So is he, Kane, even wrong or the only one to think that way?

So was Kane referring to his teammates? Probably. Though I think he also means the whole "Spurs system". Yes, Kane was part of the system. But no one can accuse him of actually not performing in an underwhelming system. Many will agree that he was actually propping up the system at Spurs. THAT alone will give him the right to comment on the state of affairs at Spurs. A true insider. Not an outsider. And an insider who has given his all for the team. He was someone whom all at Spurs had said had been a professional except for a blip when Man City came calling. Even then he shrugged it off and got on with his game. Who else is best suited to comment on his previous team? Criticism can be painful. But it can also be a wake-up call. It's up to those in Spurs and supposedly WITH Spurs to take it on the chin and learn from it. Even if the criticism is not solicited.

And don't forget, it is ok, it seems, for fans to talk about previously "unsuccessful" managers (and players) in a negative light and compare them with "better managers (or players)". Largely unsolicited opinions too. So much for an "amicable divorce".

A Spurs fan since 1972 here.

  16. Kane's comments speak more to fact that Bundesliga is Farmer's League and Bayern is the one quality team while rest are no competition at all. It's different in EPL where there is actual competition and you have to put in effort

  17. I’ve moved on mate.
I pre-mourned his parting months ago. Wish him all the best. He’s always one of our own. I think his comments were having a dig about the owners more than the club as a whole.

  18. It's simple…. it's sour grapes… deep down he still wants to be at Tottenham… especially now that Ange is here… Love your analogy re talking about the ex-GF Sean! Kane is talking about his ex-GF because he now misses her.
