      39 is really too old for Messi to play another WC. I rememer Maradona's last wc shows how sad he was after losing. Messi has done more than enough for his country, time to find another captain.

      He Can play 35 minutes in matches when needed at 39 but He's done enough throughout his career. You got 3 years , Develop the team without Messi in Picture, Take his help to Develop the Younger players.

      messi shd never play the next wc, even a slight possibility to be on the bench, look wat happened to Penaldo, he shd just leave his Argentina jersey on a high, there's nothing more for him to win. He's sealed the deal, undisputed GOAT of all time, won everything, has beaten Penaldo nd done everything for the sport. He's a league above Pele Maradona.       I think Leo should leave national team after the 2024 Copa America or after the WC qualifiers are done. Perfect send off, won the WC already and going out on the high note. Of course It depends on him and what he wants to do, obviously would love to see him play in the 2026 WC, even if he is around the players or coming off the bench 20,25mins or whatever.
      Just the way he won Copa America and the 2022 WC it’s perfect way to go out… I don’t know, you don’t want to see them stick around too long and get called has been or washed up and the reason why your NT comes up short and holding the young guys back.
