"That early" when ever they say tht the manager has lost the argument. The fact it was 24 mins is irrelevant.
Its a definite red, there was nothing controversial about it.
If Worral was a red card with Boly covering then van dyke's was a red as well.
You've got admit that for game week number 3 there's been so many more red and yellow cards than in previous seasons.
These officials are ruining the game even with bloody var honestly football’s becoming a non contact sport
Still won. What’s to say?? Gomez came on and was solid. Enjoy the moment!!
Definite red. I can't believe carragher was crying about it.
Thank God we won that game. I can see the pain in rival fans comments
The foul itself was soft but he’s through on goal so it’s a red
Referee United will keep playing against Liverpool.
soft as F! with allison one to one you tend to not score… the ball went the way of the touch on the ball…. it’s a yellow but anyways brooks is terrible ref. klopp screaming i. his face hasn’t at all influenced him reffing us lol
This is the reason why football is going down the toilet and talksport are definitely helping 😂. This should not even be a discussion , this was the definition of a straight red card! the man was through on goal therefore had a opportunity to score regardless of his touch. vvd obviously thought so too hence why he took him out , red card move on 😂 carra is a biased red erm klopp too so what they say about this incident means nothing
Last season it would have been a red card but I believe that this season the rules have changed to say a genuine attempt to play the ball even OUTSIDE the area is now not a red card.
Stonewall Red Card – to argue it is a joke…
8 game ban please !
If that was Martinez for United there would be no debate among anyone that it's a red
Let's hope all these challenges are red cards. The games will end up with 7 a side.
Don't care what Klopp has to say. He is a proven liar. Van Dijk took the man out.
If this was done to a Liverpool forward player (Salam or Nunez) would that be a harsh red card. In my opinion yes.
Was a yellow card at best anyone saying any different just hates Liverpool.
Games gone soft if that type of contact is resulting in players getting sent off last man or not, basically saying the defender can't make any attempt to win the ball if he's the last man.
Theres been plenty of times a defender was last man and hasn't been sent off.
Besides all that I thought the PGMOL wanted a more physical game.
They clearly make the rules up as they see fit and that is the problem here.
Great win for the Reds
Klopp needs his eyes testing, its a goal scoring opportunity, he's kicked his legs out, its a straight red…. i saw it once and its obvious.
Doesn’t matter if it’s a bad foul or not. Any foul in that decision is a red. I’m a Liverpool fan but it’s definitely a red
It’s a red card for me and I’m a liverpool fan, badly timed challenge gives the referee an opportunity to make a decision
Correct call he just went through the man. Van dijk has become a liability for Liverpool
Hind sight is always the answer.
Referees are vilified and abused weekly for making shocking decisions on the pitch. This referee got it spot on straight away, mcoist had to watch it 5 times apparently before he knew what happened. VVD is not goal side , panicked because he knows the player is through on goal , hence why he went through the player to get the ball .
I was nr 200 here 🙂
why are these people sitting talking about that red instead the referee's shocking decisions, first on Trent, then allowing that piece of sh*t of Joelinton to tackle people a getaway often . And he is the one acting he is world-class
If that was a United defender people would be calling for the death penalty🤣🤣
No one has an issue with the foul. It is a foul. The issue is was it a red, was he clearly the last man or not? Virgil could have been slightly in front. He could have stopped a shot. But the ball was there to be won and thats what he did. He won the ball clearly. not a light tap on the ball to make it move sideways. He won it clearly and was in control of it, been it on the wrong side of the man. Very soft foul. Isaac rolled like he had been shot in the arm or something. Rolling rolling rolling. You could clearly see that wasn't a harsh tackle. It was as though he was walking to get the ball. It is a foul. It is a foul. It is a foul. It is NOT a red. It is NOT a red. It is NOT a red. Thats the issue. And shame on those people thinking it wasn't a red, then changing their minds after seeing the super slow mo.
If was a United player they would say it's definitely a red
How is that harsh. He is through one on one with keeper if not fouled and it's a bad foul too. Van Diyk took one for the team so let him take it
Van Dyke is a top quality defender and I believe that he genuinely went for the ball but, unfortunately for him and Liverpool , he was the wrong side of the player and it cost the team. A harsh decision . Manchester United fan.
Obvious red for VVD. As for Trent, Ref got it wrong when he’s clearly in the flavour of Andy Gordon on the first foul
He was clean through on goal and Van Dyke kicked his feet out from underneath him.
Its only 'controversial' because its Liverpool, the medias darlings.
VVD is the last man and goes through Isak to get the ball, its such a clear and obvious redcard. If its any other team there is no debate and people are saying its poor defending. But with it being Liverpool and VVD, its controversial.
Hes was last man and fouled Isak to stop a goalscoring opportunity so its a red card all day long
A more appropriate question seems to be is it ok to give Liverpool a red card without all this hand wringing in the media. It’s always been a red.
Won the ball ??
The FA i think i've read recently have empowe EPL referees. By bringing out nrw rules regarding players and referees confrontation. It was not a Red Card. But I am not surprised VVD got a RED . Now I read ,they are charging him for the way and what he said to the ref. Wait for the next EPL game see what the referee will do. 2 games straight 2 red cards ? 1 recended. Picking on liverpool fc ?!
The ball wasnt in control. Under and slightly behind isaac and people said he was through on goal and vvd denied him scoring opportunity. It was side to side stand tackle. Yeah seriously. That was a yellow.
Tiny contact? He took his man out then took the ball thats a foul and deny a goal scoring opportunity
Answer. No.
Pure corruption in pl. referees being paid off left right and centre
He fouled Isak when there was a clear goal scoring opportunity. He was out of position and the tackle was a deliberate attempt to illegally stop the goal.
