We are building the foundation of Chelsea the ones that are not ready for Chelsea will go to Strasbourg and will be watched. Strasbourg will then become a big club in France and PSG will be worried you start with a foundation and Strasbourg will be the feeder club that Chelsea own . And a lot of young players from all the other clubs in world will want to play for the exciting football. We will be able to have the pick of the young players at a nominal fee and France is where a lot of African and Brazilian tend to go as a showcase of their ability. Keep up the good work Dan. I agree with most of what you talked about. On the center backs I suspect Fofana will be shopped next season and Cucurella will be sold in either this window or the next summer. Cucurella continues to be unimpressive thus far in the preseason. Yes Kepa to me looks like same old player constantly being out of position and making needless mistakes. There is talk that Chelsea is seriously pursuing Robert Sanchez of Brighton as competition for Kepa and ultimately his replacement. I would so love Chelsea to sign him.
We are doing too many signings that are not focused on key areas like defensive midfielder and goalkeeper. There is a danger that some back-up players will not get any football next season which won't be good for their development or confidence. Poch has asked for a smaller squad and at this rate he won't get that.
With all of the injuries to CBs the past two years, 5 will be needed for the season. So they need to keep 1 of Bashir and Trev
