  1. With rashford clearly wanting to transition and gakpo playing so well this year from the left, it’s logical to expect united to bring him in on the left so that rashford can continue his transition

  2. I agree with you Steve for most things but this ain’t true

gakpo is avg in the air
Just because he is 6”3 doesn’t mean he is good in the air
    Ask Lisandro Martinez

Gakpo also doesn’t press; can’t hold up play & avg in tight spaces
He is going to flop if he is coming in as a ST

There are other options like moukoko who will be a free agent as well as Marcus thuram , teref moffi, kolo muani etc

  3. United have this fear of players failing and tbh we need to stop that city had like 7 players bought and sold within 2 years maybe less
Liverpool got naby keiter Oxford-chamberlain and many more that don’t play what I’m tryin to say is we need to not care if they fail at utd bring him so what if he’s not good immediately give him time and if it doesn’t work sell him we are so bad at selling players us fans part the player comes out playing well cuz we know he won’t get replaced for 5 year look at martial Shaw maguire matic phil Jones years to be replaced

  4. I wouldn't be "worried'. He's class!
He isn't a striker. He plays on left most weeks in Eredivisie and as many likes to come inside.

He seems to revel in free role though Ruud has Xavi Simons in that role often, though does change things around and Cody is put central. He has grown as a player and as captain has the trust of van Nistelrooij.

  5. Great analysis video as always. One thing I will disagree with is that all his goal contributions came from him playing on the left. They might have come frome games where he started on the left but I've seen him get an assist after being moved to striker when luk de jong was subbed off. He doesn't start and finish games a 9 but he moves around quite a bit. I could see united being similar to 07-08 where Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez were interchangeable. Either way would also try to buy another striker like a Marcus Thurman but I know two strikers is pie in the sky thinking.

  6. The problem we have is we don't always play attacking football. If we play attacking football, Rashford fits us like a glove. I would happily play Rashford as a number nine. His pace is a threat, he can finish, and he makes the runs in behind. That is what it looks like ETH wants in a striker. We have plenty options out wide (Sancho, Antony, Garnacho, Elanga) so moving Rashford into the middle makes sense to me.

  7. Playing striker is a natural progression for young wingers.

Yes, I agree, not all wingers move into the middle, but a lot of them have the ability to do so, and I truly believe Cody is someone who will excel

  8. Hes a good player but surely they should have at least one out and out goalscorer at the club. Thats who they should be signing in Jan, not another 'attacking forward' who might work out.

  9. While I can’t disagree with any of the points/concerns made, the bottom line is that I have to believe EtH sees everything he needs to see in Gakpo for him to push so hard for this guy. He hasn’t been wrong yet.

  10. ETH doesnt want an out and out striker he wants goal scorers who can play multiple front-line positions and move about during the game which Rashford does often and Gakpo does too.

  11. Henry, Van Persie and Cristiano Ronaldo are all players with similar physical attributes that adapted from wingers to strikers.
Ten Haag has a good eye for talent and seems keen on him, lets trust his analys.

  12. As long as we play him in the middle yes, he can be our Firmino false nine, but if we are going to get this guy only to play Rashford in the center, it will be another nightmare.

  13. What does it matter as long as he scores goals for the team, which he does. Why dissect whether or not he is a natural striker – he is a natural goal scorer, which is what we want. End freaking of!
