Stephen Warnock and Sue Smith discussed Liverpool’s win on Sunday, Trent Alexander-Arnold and the future of Mohamed Salah.

Salah scored in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa despite speculation over his future amid strong interest from Saudi Arabia. Jurgen Klopp said about Salah: “I don’t have doubts about his future…he wants to play here”.

Salah combined superbly with Trent Alexander-Arnold throughout the win over Villa with the defender captaining the side in Virgil van Dijk’s absence as he put in a player-of-the-match performance.

But the 24-year-old was forced off with injury in the 71st minute as he hobbled off with what has been confirmed as a hamstring injury by Klopp.

The injury puts Alexander-Arnold’s place in England’s squad for their upcoming games against Ukraine and Scotland in major doubt.

  1. not bothered what LFC fans say selling salah if he is happy is just silly next season they will still be in for him next season silly wages still all the money in the bank does not help the team on the pitch if sold i believe totally down to owners even if salah is happy they will sell and then you tell me you trust fsg i dont WHERE DID THIS 100 MILLION GO WE HAD FOR CAICEDO

  2. Clueless , that is Warnock. Mo Salah as just tuned 31 in June, he not nearly 32. Secondly, he family are quiet comftable living in England and children at school, that can not be bettered, being a Muslim does not reduce him to living in a Muslim Country. For Warnocks information the UK as a Muslim Population of over 5 million. Now to football, Mo Salah play elite level football, not non league Saudi football. Salah is playing the the worlds mots elite league and in Euro competitions, Fa Cup. Mo will still be playing age 36, then it may be mickey mouse football in Saudi or USA. No player of any significance as gone to Saudi, Naymar was finished at PSG, Ronlado finished at Man Utd, and Mpbapi turned down £2 million a week and Said offered PSG £257 million for him.. Saudi as not got anything to play for, its standard is below League 2 .
Warlock is coming up to age 52 WITH HIS COMMENTS, HE IS TALKING OUT OF A BLACK HOLE

  3. We pretty know that money has power but LFC have to tell the world that money can't buy everything at every time. 150 mil bid for 31 year player is crazy we can understand but mo is the pivotal and the nucleus of our club right now.

  4. The thing is though, a lot of LFC fans are thinking too emotionally at this point.

Salah has been one of the best wingers in the world for a number of years now, but right now, he isn't what he used to be. Yes the new attack needs to gel, but by the time that happens Salah is 32/33. He's 32 at the end of the season, to reject a bit of 175m for a 32 year old is absolutely mind-boggling.

People are too attached with the memories he has brought, but you need to stay objective, for a club that doesn't have money, rejecting 175m for a player thats not even worth that right now is insane. I'd start looking for replacements now, ready for January, you got 6 months then to have him gel and sell Salah at the end of the season for 150/175m.

  5. Playing trent as a playmaking CB won't work. Making our RCB hug the touchline is an accident waiting to happen. Id rather have thiago play as a 6 then protect him with the workrate and physicality of Gravenberch and Szoboszlai. When we play against teams like brighton that are great at pressing, trent won't have the time or space to turn and play those passes. He would have to play with his back to goal more often than not and what would then happen is we will lose the ball on some occasions and be in a very vulnerable position because are CB is hughing the touchline. If we wanted another thiago then we should have signed Billy Gilmour

  6. I have absolutely no faith in Southgates tactical views, if he wants to play Trent midfield I say we just stick him upfront

  7. 250/300 million for this season including January or 200 million next summer. If they've got money to burn then let's watch it burn 🔥. Salah has some incredible records in sight he won't want to leave next summer either. The price needs to be extraordinary for the Saudis to get there prize.

  8. £150 million does not buy Salah replacement. Look at Chelsea spent a billion and have no one close to Salah. We would be made to sell him before he is 35. He will keep performing till then as he is chasing Rush and others in the all time goal scoring chart.

  9. I think Liverpool didn't accept the offer because it was too late. I'm sure the Saudi Arabian club will try again in the next transfer window

  10. Only so many times you can pull your hamstring before it loses flexibility with each tear… the scar tissue builds up.
Best of luck to him… not sure he's a midfielder though 🤔

  11. Winter sell
PRO More money than next summer, which can potentially be used for 2-3 transfers
CON Short window, so no proper time for club/player to analyze offer & Salah wont get a proper send off from the fans

    Summer sell
PRO Money to buy replacement and integrate him for next season
CON Probably 50% less money than we got offered now (or we get offered in the winter)

  12. Don't assume Salah wants to go to Saudi. Having lived in the middle east for 4 years, I can confirm most arabs hate the Saudi's, even Egyptians born in Saudi told me this. Also do not underestimate how many thousands of fake accounts the Saudi regime will have writing positive things about Saudi on all social media platforms including Youtube. The propaganda machine is a major tool used to suppress the truth.

  13. Salah keeps himself in good shape. He has a good 2/3 more highest level seasons left in him, then will go to Saudi for sure for big money. Probably even more at that time even being older

  14. He does not suit that league he suits liverpool and we can turn down that bid even 500 million we Will turn it down imagine salah leaving liverpool that would make us go bonkers and go against FSG

  15. Salah is too competitive to go to Saudi Arabia just for the money in a sub-standard league.
He wants to win trophies and personal awards at a big club like Liverpool.
There's a bigger chance of going to Real / Barca / Bayern after 1-2 years if he doesn't win anything at Liverpool.

  16. That’s not true about Mo Salah. The Saudi Pro league own Newcastle, well the state does. They are picking of the likes Henderson, Firbino, and are trying Gomez, Konate, and now a big fuss with Mo Salah. The State of Saudis owns Newcastle, so they are putting pressure on.
    Cheers have a great day

  17. Trent is the best distributor of the ball in the prem. pings a pass to feet every time. Not a defender, as soon as he finds his position, Lfc will be challenging city for titles again

  18. wow….the red flag is up Trent is injury…. what if Trent is side line for a week….? who is going to fit in for Trent…? i think Liverpool should take the offer and use some of it and buy victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen as Salah replacement…..
