      Mac is a great, timely start to the next phase of the rebuild. I think an understudy to Fabinho would be great. Need extra muscle in the MF. Then 2, fresh CBs. Konate and VVD can't play all season, and if Matip chooses/ is forced to go on a conservative sale, we'll need the units. Exciting season ahead!

      Call me deluded but I think Mac Allister and another defensive midfielder is enough for midfield signings, I think Trent future is in midfield also with Bajcetic and Jones developing good, so we should focus on RB and left footed CB

      I think its an absolute 10/10 to the recruitment team 👏👏👏 To get a player of Alexis's quality, experience & age for £35M (+ add-ons) is outstanding work!

      I also think, if Klopp can squeeze in another 2 midfielders, a CB & a RB – we will most definitely be a force to reckon with. The attacking squad will only get crazy better if we can improve with a few more signings.🤞🤞

      I’m worried for Brighton in terms of depth to be playing in 4 comps next season I think they’re safe don’t get me wrong but I could see a bottom half finish depending on how pilfered they

      Pretty good analysis overall, can't agree on Jones though, think he definitely has the quality and his numbers show it, his problem has been freak injuries like the one with his eye, whenever he gets a run he tends to do well.

      Think Manu Kone would be my ideal next midfield signing based on who we're looking at, we don't seem to be looking at out and out destroyers who play the 6 but someone with a load of pace, power and energy with technical ability and defensive nous like Kone next to Mac Allister who's got a bit of absolutely everything seems like a good fit.

      i think he undoubtedly is a starter, based on last year Gary McAllister could have probably got a game again, but in all seriousness at that price its ridiculous and he's arguably going to be our best midfielder next year. No want wants Europa over CL, but if were also getting Thuram and Kone then they're going to need to settle in and establish their roles, if we were in CL that could have some painful consequences, maybe in Europa we get a few more wins, everyone's confidence builds and it propels us further in the prem.

      Completely agree with pretty much everything you said. He will start with fab and one other new signing I think, unless we change formation. We need a new centre back and maybe another midfielder or two to fill out the squad after alexis and another big starting 11 signing

      Great signing for Liverpool…PROVIDED…we get more signings to adress the midfield problems and injuries that have regularly found us out since 2020

      Thiago, massively talented player but ultimately a flop in my eyes up to now and I can’t see it changing, you just can not rely on him, his body isn’t up to the rigours of Premier League football.

      Only player you've overlooked in the LFC midfield is Bajetic and the revived TAA.
      One more tall strong midfielder and a backup centre-back and things could get rather tasty.

      Wijnaldum comparison is bang on, I hope we see a bit more on the attacking front from him though, will be really interesting to see how his game develops and which position in the 3 he cements himself in!

      We need another 2/3 midfielders in!
      Hendo isn’t the same player for the last 2 years!
      Fabinho was tired from covering for likes of Hendo!

      All need to be replaced – hopefully with players that don’t get injured! 🤞

      Will Bobby be replaced?

      With FSG having form for reducing players on higher wages when not in CL will that be a factor?

      Also Thiago will be in his last year or contract, Hendo needs to be replaced as well.

      So in reality do we need 3 players for the middle just this window & another 2 in January?

      Also have to strengthen the back line with Virg looking shaky this season maybe due to injury or lack of protection in front of him?

      But we do need 2 quality players in each position – that has always been the benchmark.

      Elliott isn’t a midfielder, don’t know his position.
      Jones did ok towards the end but not proven over a full season & is injury prone.
