  1. Colwill in my eyes is really shaky and being over praise at the moment. Nice passing from him but that's all. 3 goals but this wasn't a game that should amaze anybody. Respect to a few individual performance but we look poor against such a weak team

  2. I think we chelsea fans need to stop over praising/hyping our players. I know we all love Enzo, but for Christ's sake, the lad has been average at best since joining Chelsea. For 100million+ , he should offer more than just 1 or 2 good passes a game. For that money, he needs to steep up massively. Let's not be quick to praise players because we are fans. IMO only Sterling, Gusto, Jackson deserve the hype for this particular game.

  3. Ben, I agree with all you said on the boxes but should have made at least yellow box. We were only playing Lutton, and they are a team that are struggling for some reasons, Yesterday.
I saw a Chelsea with a little weak mentality after the first goal, Luton were looking us straight in our eyes. If we don’t elevate our mentality against a better team we could pay for that. I think mentality is an issue for us…
Pochetino also, I don’t understand why he is playing a back three, even though Chilwell & Colwill are playing higher to their natural positions, this may cost us. We did well during the pre-season with a back four, I think we can do it and that would be better!

  4. My only problem at the back is Desasi
He is physical but his passings and timing are a bit concern, he needs to adopt into premier League football it's different from french league Desasi is little bit slow this is premier you don't sleep even a second

  5. i don't think much of this game….at all.
We only got 3 goals against a terrible team. And we relied too heavily on Sterling. He's making his detractors look silly right now.
I'd like to see Noni get a start in this type of matchup. I can't wait for the return of Badiashile so we can play a true 2 center back lineup.
And just loan out Mudryk….he's not up for this level. Give him 2 years in Strasbourg

  6. It's the first game I was able to see the game this year.
To me it feels like Poch is trying to recreate the Kane – Son duo. And it might work..
The squad on the pitch looks asymmetrical with one winger, but can work for Sterling and Chil as well as Nkunku and James!
Jackson will definitely create and make assists, if he can score 20+ goals….~ I am not so sure.

  7. Takes time to all gel. Look at where Arsenal were and where they are now. Let's hope we can make it all work. With the money spent, we need to make top 4. It is going to be tough. City and Arsenal will be up there, Liverpool probably will and United probably will. We also have Newcastle who are decent.

  8. I disagree strongly with Colwill and Jackson.
Colwill was nervous with the ball on his feet multiple times. He did some good defending, but on a back-3 line, you have to be able to play with your feet.
Jackson was out of tune the whole match up until his goal. He lost the ball multiple times and commited silly fouls. He's fighting the CBs, when he should be running into space. I'm starting to think he's a pre-season player. When it counts, he's not delivering too much.

  9. Considering Brighton are being whipped by West Ham, losing away to them might not turn out to be such a bad result when all is said and done. Especially when you consider we dominated west ham for an hour and played well…

  10. Hot take: Poch sticks with the back 3, Badiashile plays in the middle, and James plays on the right…. Gusto stays at RWB… Enzo and Caicedo as our double pivot; then it comes down to are we playing with a LW or not…. if no, Jackson drops into the #10 role, while Broja and Sterling play up top; if yes, Sterling on the right, Jackson up top, Mudryk/Maatsen/or whoever else we sign in attack on the left

There is still work to do, but I'm definitely liking what I'm seeing so far

  11. Not getting carried away, at 1 – 0 we lost the bottle to go forward at pace and put the game to bed. The slow back passing and nothing possession gave me PTSD from last year, expecting a Luton goal. Once 2 up we looked confident and should've got a 4th goal. Need to keep the ball moving forward and fast, we look dangerous when we do

  12. Chelsea didn't play so well, just that Luton were clueless.
I'm worried about this 3 at the back system without Reece James. Because Malo gusto doesn't hold the width off the right like Reece does….

  13. Also Chilwell too didn't play well.. I don't know if its from pochetino but he needs to stay wide more….Chelsea has many midfielders running in so him running in kinds of confuses them..
Him holding width makes more space in the half spaces for Enzo to create or for the wing backs to cut the ball back

  14. I think its harsh to say we only had two attack minded players.

Chilwell often plays as the most advanced player and often ends up box crashing centrally. Its not conventional but its absolutely in the game plan.

I was disappointed by Gallagher, he had a very good game, but he effectively played as a CM, and we wanted to see him as a CAM

  15. There were aspects of the performance, especially the first 10-15 minutes of the second half that were a bit suspect. But overall, a much needed and well-deserved win. This current crop of players is significantly more likeable than the team we started out with last season, and I think we have good reason to be exited about what they could achieve. It’s nice to feel genuinely invested in the lads again! KTBFFH💙

  16. The only player I had my doubts about is Disasi, I haven't seen basically anything that would suggest he is good enough for Chelsea. However this used to be also the case for Christensen at the beginning and he became an absolute unit when style changed a bit and he adapted. Hopefully it will also be the case for Disasi
