I dont think Hendo will notice the difference he was only playing for Liverpool 😅
He's been declining past couple of seasons.southgate loves to play his favourites who never let him down pickford Hendo,shaw and maguire😂etc who in fairness haven't done much wrong internationally.Can you really be selected to play fir England if you're in a league in which no one really knows the true standard at this moment ots a league with relatively unknown players a few legends/top pros ex World class and class players or and a few players who played high standard and moved for money all mixed into one and they're all there in the name of money😂pretty much.Henderson brings a lot still not as much as he once did his workmate motivation and leadership on and off field experience etc.hendo played around quality players and may have looked better on the ball at times then he actually was always had to be on his A game against the elite centre mids because technically he wasn't as good as them,he'd read the game in that area of the pitch and anticipate very well along with the extra work rate he puts in made him be able to be effective but can he really be considered to get called up to the three lions again well its quite unjust to the boys playing prem week in week out.Maybe as a squad player for experience and moral but to start no it's just mot really right but look under Southgate he has a chance he loves his favourites gareth.
It doesn't make Hendo any worse a player. He will still have his touch and vision as well as his leadership skills. However, I totally get it about the difference in intensity. However, England as it stands have Rice and Bellingham as nailed-on starters and behind that who is there? There is Hendo in Saudi and Kalvin Phillips who is hardly playing for City at all or perhaps John Stones who has showed he CAN play in central midfield but is a centre-half by trade. So there isn't much choice. Is Rico Lewis just as worth a looking as those? Have Harvey Elliot and Curtis Jones done enough yet? Maybe. So, you see, there isn't really much choice in central midfield currently. Also, Argentina have always being willing to continue to pick players from the Championship, the MLS etc. and they have always been a big footballing nation even before the recent Copa America and world cup triumphs.
If i was offered £700,000 a week i would walk too that tin pot league…

Who cares about the standard, with the money they’re paying it won’t be sub standard for long. You’re quick to praise teams like Celtic and call them big clubs even though they play in the shittest league in football, but players can’t go to a crap league and get x8 times the money they were getting in the premier league.
There’s no loyalty in football and I wouldn’t give a f about champions league or premier league or la liga, if Saudi offered me the money they’re offering bang average players I’d be off. Sooner or later their league will be the best and the English teams will be talking about super league again but including Saudi teams

Commenters underestimate how much playing for England and how much being a Captain is integral to the foundations of Hendo's entire Ego/psyche (in arguably an overly-intense, damaging way). He left Liverpool because he didn't want a demotion to a bit part or the bench–couldn't cope with it, even. Money was an enormous motivator for Jordan, but not the only or primary one.
Southgate keeps Hendo in the side as long as he's able. Jordan is Gareth's lieutenant & deputy out on the pitch, where Gareth can't reach once a game is in progress. Along with Steve Holland, Margey and the other coaches, plus Kane, they have built the current England senior team we see today with their own hands. Hendo's figurative DNA runs all through this squad.

It'll be like playing for Celtic or rangers. 4/5 competitive games, then playing a pub team most weekends… Saying players involved in Saudi football wouldn't be there but for the money. 10/20 million a year isn't enough? There'll be a cost!

Pass why Murphy is so peed off at Players going to the Saudi League, like he wouldn't do the same if he had of been given the chance.
As they say, personally I do not blame the older Players looking for that one last payday, or mediocre Players wanting to cash in on wages, they would never be able to claim in a million years, if they had stayed in their respective Leagues.
Saudi League Club Owners have money to burn and no restrictions on how they spend it, so I do not blame them for what they are doing with it.
It will all promote the Saudi League and as for myself, like many others no doubt, we have now tuned into that League, where normally we would not bother.
Sadly the days are gone where the majority of Footballers play for the love of the game.
Now, kissing the badge, does not mean they love the Club they are playing for, but rather: "Oooo Goody! I have just got myself another £10k scoring bonus".
Since the PL came to be, it has turned into "The day of the Mercenary" and the Mercenary can earn more playing in the Saudi League than they can anywhere else.
The reason the PL gets the Players that they do, is because they pay the most and the only ones that buck that trend "occasionally" are Real Madrid and PSG, that was until the Saudi league came along.
I have no idea how Murphy has the front to sit there and have a go at what the Saudi League Club Owners are doing, or about where the Players are going, he played in the PL, accepting PL wages, which, when you think about it, is no different from that Saudi League and what Players are doing now.
As for Henderson, he is a crap Player, always has been and the only reason he played for England, was because he was the best out of a bad bunch and joining the Saudi League was the only place left for him.
He would not have played for England again, if he had joined Real Madrid, or Man City, England now have far better than Henderson.

I find this really sad .. its like these guys are representing Henderson … some of the stuff they are saying is applicable to the Premier League aswell .. Henderson and Gerrard are smart guys and they know the media would be bashing them either way so they've looked after themselves … what is unfair and Danny should take it back is of how he thinks Henderson has a gun pointed to his head and can't say anything negative about the Saudi League … Henderson has not been kidnapped he's chosen to go to the Saudi League so I would expect that he's not gonna start saying stuff when he chosen to be there himself …. honestly these guys have been whining ever since this Saudi league started … they don't even want to give them a chance.
All the hate for the Saudi league from the English Saudi league fans is embarrassing. English Saudi league only has one team that can win it. Man City. In the Domestic Saudi league there are 4/5 teams that could realistically win it.

SPL is a project… how many players can say they helped develop the premier league, or the Champions league?
These stars going to SPL is literally part of that project for this new generation.
If no one can replace Henderson in the World Cup, why not bring him back.
