Honestly I think this is a massive coup for Brighton, even if he doesn't quite live up to the massive hype that he had when he was a teenager he can still be world class and I say good luck to him and good luck to Brighton.
His injuries have been horrific in the past

Wasn't aware Simon had a Barca season ticket and had watched all of his games, he's had some injuries during his short time in Barca's first team, that is always going to slow down his progresssion, its one hell of a signing for Brighton, United had a bid of £135m turned down a couple of years ago for this kid.

Never seen this one coming. Boys had a couple of injuries sure, but he's only 20 or something and the sky could be the limit for him.
His injuries have been horrific. I’m a barca fan so I’ve followed everything, unlike Simon. He had a horrible injury in 2020/21. Left him out all season. Had to have 3 separate surgeries because the surgeon messed something up. Left him scarred for when he got another injury a few month nto his return. He’s been able to get back to his physical best but he needs consistency. And that’s what hell get at Brighton. When you look at his stats for Barcelona, considering the amount of injuries and lack of game time, its very impressive. So I wouldn’t write him off. This loan is for him to get back to full fitness and impress again at Barcelona. I bet Simon Jordan didn’t even know his name until this morning, but of course he has to be an expert on everything.

Why can’t Simon understand that this is a simple loan for Ansu so he can get regular minutes and get back to full fitness. He wants to succeed at barca. Barca don’t want to let him go. This take is so stupid, i dont think he knows fati is still 20 yr old. He scored 10 goals and 4 assist as a winger coming from the bench last season, his decision to go to brighton was a wise decision. Showing his not stupid like other young players who dont care abt playing time. He was better then Anthony, Grealish , Sancho, sterling, Mudryk, Son . In pure numbers last season after 7 months injured.

Because a footballers growth isn’t linear, it’s not like age how it can only go one way and which is up. Players can also get worse regardless of age, maybe they can’t run as fast as they previously could maybe something has happened in their life that changes them as a person/athlete

I think he chose a club where he can be guaranteed game time and not have much if any competition for his place. Also Brighton have developed some good talent recently that have improved and got big money moves. I can see why.

Footballers who receive serious injuries should be subject to a FIFA licence to carry on playing professional football. There's far too many players whose bodies are clearly not up to it physically who are stealing a lucrative living from the game. Raphael Varane being one. You can't be earning £250k a week and on the treatment table week in, week out missing games, earning millions and contributing nothing.
if it means Mitoma gets benched then it's a terrible signing. He isn't physical enough to play centrally which means realistically his only place would be on the right, which isn't his primary position and would result in dropping March. He'd have been better going to a club like Ajax

Why has ge not progressed!? These 2 are clueless clowns. The lad is only 20 years old and has made over 80 1st team appearances for arguably the biggest club in the world. He has been hampered with a few injuries but apart from that he's had a progressive career. He's also got 9 full caps for Spain that won the Nations League 22/23 he's also won a la liga. Copa del ret and Spanish super cup. The lads doing fantastic. This is strictly a loan deal to get Ansu back to his best and to get Felix in the door… smh
