I think Johnson can be a really top player seems to have that killer instinct that so many people fail to notice in young players. A goal scoring winger/forward is exactly what we need.

I must say with the way Porro has performed defensively it has been a pleasant surprise and that back four has been the soundest looking defense we've had in years. When you consider the ages and inexperience in the premier league especially it's even more impressive, I think Ange making Romero a vice captain was a stroke of genius considering calming effect it seems to have had on him. Love you usually Ali but the reason Ange “wants” Brennan Johnson is because he doesn’t have a choice. We need a home grown player and English players are too expensive. That leaves him a choice of players from Scotland, wales and northern island.
Brennan Johnson is best of a bad bunch! That’s also why he’s costing us £50m which is £20m too much because forest will know the fact we need homegrown.

Ali, whilst I like your analysis of how Johnson could fit into the front line, don't you think we just have too many of those players? – You mentioned; Kulu, Son, Solomon, Perisic etc but the fact of the matter remains, we only have Richarlison as our out and out striker (is he really one?). Agreed we do have Veliz and Scarlett but are they gonna get starts. Brining in Orban or Toney or David would give us those real striker options. Thoughts?
