I can understand a Ref seeing actions in real time and only from his vantage point …and maybe coming to a dubious decision….But…surely VAR is meant to assist the ref and give him an opportunity to review his immediate on field decision ??…otherwise what's the point of VAR ??….Could've been sorted out on the field and Macca shouldn't have been sent off…Liverpool could've played in with 11 players instead of 10….Macca didn't need to sweat until finally (thank goodness!) sanity has prevailed…after causing the club to stress and be inconvenienced by having to submit an appeal that they may have lost/cost too !! YNWA 🤔
