      If Son were European, these people would never question his leadership style. They would say he has a unique or different leadership style.

      Of course he shouldn't be a captain. A person that cries every time something goes against him, he acts like an infant. I'm all for it though, long may his reign continue!

      To me players who are typical to go for a risk so take on players, showing tricks, dribblers, "artists" such as wingers should never be made captain. A captain is about conistency, being strong, winning balls for your team. A CDM or a Centre Half is ideal.
      When you make Son captain it gives a burden to the player "to make things right" for your team hence no risky dribbling and losing the ball. ThatΒ΄s not what Son is.

      Unfortunately right now at Tottenham with so many new players. Ange had almost no other choice.

      I thought I recalled when Son completed his military service in South Korea (with the Marines by the way, not pushing papers in an office) that he was chosen group leader and given an award specifically for leadership and performance. And that's with something WAY more difficult and important than sport.

      Sonny is the captain of the South Korean national team for years. Next time these bias people gonna say Sonny is not good enough to play in the Premiere League or not good enough to play football at all. Sonny is not even mentioned in their recent successes

      Not knocking Sonny in the slightest, the ultimate professional, a very good player and a SPURS legend but, I agree with the caller, Son shouldn't be captain, he isn't the type of personality or character to lead and direct players when times are tough. This showed in his speech when given the captaincy. I would also vote for Maddison to be given the armband.

      Son is 100 a leader he never hides if has a bad performance and he is the captain of his country. All leaders atr different but Son has loads of qualities for a leader

      This caller, who apparently has been a Captain and Manager in his Fantasy Football League, idea of "character" (at 2:53 in) is a white, British male. His racism is so transparent.

      Spot on about Sonny
      He is the South Korean captain but that’s because of his fame & being the best Asian player for a few years
      But his scoring Golden boot was so much due to the pairing with Kane as a provider for him
      Once Kane decided he wants to score more … he didn’t drop back as much as he did under Jose & the first season under Conte
      Last season Sonny had his worse season … nothing even close to the previous 2 seasons
      This year he has done nothing at all
      If and when Richarlison starts to score … don’t be shocked to see Sonny on the bench before the 75th min
      He may start all matches on the pitch as Captain…. But the matches will mostly end with Maddison wearing the armband.
      In fact… I see Sonny going to Saudi Arabia before Xmas 2024 … and Tottenham will cash in – just like Liverpool might do with Salah soon

      Fans are not loyal so why are they expecting players to be loyal this is why I dont mind when a player want to leave because these kind of fans are the reason why players should stay at a club for over 7 years
