Ferrari’s wait for a record 32nd World Championship is set to continue in 2023. But are the most successful team in Formula 1 history at least heading in the right direction?
Ahead of their home race at Monza, who better to answer that question than Ferrari Team Principal, Fred Vasseur?
Cracking jokes throughout, Fred tells Tom Clarkson how the culture at Ferrari is like no other he’s experienced in F1 and why this job is the ‘biggest challenge’ of his career. He talks about the development of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, the team’s strengths and weaknesses, and he sends a message to the Tifosi.

Hopefully the New Engineers from Mercedes and Red Bull can help Ferrari next year
As someone with an oled tv I would love if u guys made some moving visuals instead of a static image.
i love this podcast, thank you so much!
Daje Vassoio! Facce vince!
Fred Vasseur is a great boss. Unfortunately, Ferrari is in such a mess for so long, its going to take a while for them to become competent again.
Pursuing the pinnacle of underachievement is all Ferrari are capable of. With their resources they should be perennial title contenders. Without a complete shakeup of their management structure, which is far too slow and unwieldy, with too many layers and not enough autonomy particularly for Vasseur but also for those who report to him, nothing will change.
Why hasn't Max been on beyond the grid, Tom. Nearly every driver, ex-driver, team boss, FIA and FOM person had been on at least one time , some even two. When are you inviting Max? I'd like would like learn more from him other than about F1 and racing.
Mete dança. E verão o ano inteiro. Miami ?
Ferrari will need to find a guy like Rory. He remains the only engineer that had helped Scuderia Ferrari be competitive every time he is there to redesign the car. They will need someone with the same specialty and ability like him. Maybe, a younger version of Rory that's likely eager to help the team get back to the top. Honestly, they won't find anyone from the current teams.
Ferrari will never go anywhere. Joke of a team
Much respect to Vasseur for shutting down the false narrative that they are building the team around Charles only. It's important that both drivers are on board. Cheers to Vasseur. I hope you will find the right people to rebuild SF.
The pinnacle of what? Moaning about red bull while continuing Ferraris fine tradition of terrible strategy?
His frenchglish is so funny
I have to say it again. I love these interviews but a 45 minute interview shouldn’t have over 15minutes of advertisements.
I love Fred man
Guys, let's give the man a break. Even Jean Todt did not immediately found success after taking over Ferrari. Vasseur should be given the time and resources in order to prove himself. ❤
This guy is a clown, nothing different from binotto.
Ferrari need Adrian Newey, only then they have a chance of fighting for WDC.
I remember in the first race of the 2022 season when Ferrari were scoring really high… Oh how I wanted Ferrari to win both titles.. Forza Ferrari por siempre.
Ferrari don't have a direct competitor.. McLaren fight against Aston Martin and vice versa, Mercedes against Red Bull and vice versa.. If Mclaren, Aston or Merc win, they want to market their car brands, if Red Bull win they want to lift up their company with the results of the victory, but when Ferrari are going to win F1 championships again, it's just a statement for their company. Ferrari is Formula 1. Enzo just made road cars to afford racing F1, Le Mans, etc.. Merc tried to build F1 cars as an addition to their road cars. Remember their first car was a road car. Oh how I want Ferrari to win. It would just be delighting! The purest team on the grid.
Does anyone else find it unbecoming to see Fred laughing and smiling with reporters after some horrible team performances? I know it’s his personality, but it gives off the vibe that he’s just not taking it as seriously as us fans need him too.
This french dude at Ferrari????? What is wrong with Italy?????
