  1. We really are clutching at straws now. Any minuscule piece of optimism is being held up. We have a disjointed squad, with little to no quality, strikers, new and old, with one in three goal to match ratios. Midfielders, that lack creativity and contribution in the final third. Defenders that are suspect to errors and are lacking it seems in confidence. Newly introduced to the squad after coaching and playing for PSV, Branthwaite is a glimmer of a good thing.

What concerns me, is we have a manager who has had the core of these players for 8 months. His modus operandi is to take teams, and implement a reductive approach to tactics and footballing philosophy so that the basics are what you are left with, done well. And yet, we have gotten worse.

I don't know whether it is now fatigue but this seems to have been accepted. "It is what it is" is the motto or motif I see most of the time.

Regardless, the best we can hope for is just below the table fold, of mediocrity, a 14th to may be what, a glorious 10th, manor from heaven in this predicament, but really not good enough. With this style of football and management. I have no issue if you like this manager, it's purely based on his history and current stats.

If we do get what, everyone associated (externally), with this club has been screaming for, over the last three years or so, a new board and possibly, a new ownership structure. Then any ambition and planning shown by the new structure, will inevitably involve the manager being sacked any way. If things do not improve radically and soon, it's more than likely going to happen anyway, if only another way our Board likes to deflect attention and/or blame.

  2. When Dyche first came in we looked dangerous from nearly every set-piece, now we either hit the keeper or delivery is shocking, worrying that Dyche didn't change Young for Garner as ALL of Youngs crosses were abysmal!😩

  3. To me it's down to the manger, his a game management, his subscriptions, are not very good, but if we can get Beto over the line,it would be a big step in the right direction, with the injured players back,we should be ok.

  4. I think our midfield is misunderstood as a flat midfield 3 even though it isn’t apart from the odd game like Arsenal etc.
We play with a double pivot and then Doucoure as our 10 which is why Onana and Gueye don’t get forward much.
Onana is a decent holding midfielder but he’s not a Barkley type who constantly gets on the ball and scores goals etc

  5. Patterson was miles better compared to his other performances Baz, he actually created chances against Wolves and won nearly all his duels.
If he performs like that more often he could be an asset for us.

  6. To be honest im glad were shit as theres no goals in the team and we'd be licky to finish 19th this year and only relegation will ditch Moshiri and reset us and i sepnt a large portion of my 20s travelling home/away/abroad witjout mucb success and any young Evertonians id adbise to go travelling and see the world instead of going the match now and see us being terrible as an opportunity

  7. I think Danjuma,Chimiti and Mcneill can run with the ball forward but you both overate Iwobi…he's a powder puff player, and no end product!..he runs and flaps arms but,no tackle strength,no shot…wouldn't give him a new contract..

  8. Having the fullbacks tucked in is just how Dyche plays. Personally I think it doesn't work against good players who can switch the ball and is a really dangerous way to play if you also have two fullbacks that can't stop wingers when they are isolated. But…… I also don't think there's another way to play. Lampard basically tried everything including Iwobi down the middle and nothing worked with these players. I'm just hoping that by the end of the window and when all our players are fit the personnel look ALOT different than recent years.
