I don’t think Mount has the brain to adapt to this new team. Like you said Rory he was doing social media posts etc at bad times. He’s part of the fashion instagram crew. He’s got talent but it’ll drop off like a lot of these players who take their eye off the ball.

Mount excels at off the ball stuff, which is harder for a casual watcher to appreciate.
Also Mount and Eriksen are such different players that it makes little sense to compare them.

I completely disagree when you say Mount is better than Eriksen and I am an Arsenal fan…someone who saw him at Spurs and was supposed to hate his guts. Eriksen is pure class on and off the pitch. His passing range might even be better than Fernandes'. Someone who watches them train could probably support this better.
The real reason Mount is there is to replace Eriksen in the long run. After his heart surgery, he obviously does not have the capacity to play full throttle anymore.

Genuienly think mount just needs time to adjust to his new role of playing as a cm, he was always played as 10/on the wings so it will take him time to learn the role. ten hag wants a 8 that can progress the ball, has high intensity in their pressing and mount having a good passing range is obviosuly a plus
Mount should start over Bruno imo at least for a few games I’m a united fan but if you understand the game you know he’s just not good for us atm horrible ball retention horrible attitude and can’t score a goal to save his life anymore

Mason Mount is a $#!+ signing and he's up against it to start regularly for United this season.
Mount works hard, but he doesn't grab a game and change the outcome. He runs around a lot, occasionally pops up with a 10 yard goal, and sometimes gets an assist. Let's not kid ourselves, he isn't the next Lampard, or Gerrard. At best he's a slightly more pacy Milner.
Rory you need to forget about him, he's been poor for Chelsea for 2 years and hopefully he can continue that poor form at United, was he ever that good or was it just a purple patch?
