      I'm a Messi fan and i've been a Messi fan
      since 2008, more so i'm a Barça fan. IMO If Messi wins the Ballon D'or then Ballon D'or proves itself to be a journalism award. There's nothing more i LOVED seeing than Messi winning WC 2022 and i know every Messi fan can relate to that. But Ballon D'or should be an award based on individual performances, and Haaland literally ticks every single box and overtakes the GOAT easily, We all love Leo, but Haaland did some crazy stuff last season. Also if Messi deserves to win it cos he won the WC then by that logic Mbappe should’ve deserved that in 2018 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ LETS BE REAL FOR A SEC

      Erm flawed logic there, was playing for BVB in Germany and now plays for the most dominant team in Europe who smashed through Bayern last season so yeah he’s gonna score more in a far superior team

      Messi's getting it whether you like it or not. Davies mentioning Mbappe only shows how clueless he is despite being a Bayern player. I have similar chances of getting a Ballon D Or this year as Mbappe does.

      Davies is dumb. He didn’t do that in bundesliga because he didn’t play for the one team in that league. In England, he played for the best team

      Should be an easy win for Haaland. Two golden boots and a treble on top. Not to mention the amount of attention he gets on the pitch which allows teammates to get into better positions

      I hate the myth of Bundesliga players don’t do well in the prem because just look at Haaland, Mane, Sane, Firmino, Konate, Akanji, Gundogan and I’m sure there’s a couple more I’m forgetting, of course there have been crazy flops but we defo can’t write off talent coming from that league just because

      I would go for messi for Ballon as an individual player. He just didnt win world cup. He scored important goals, made unbelievable chances and carried a average to a wc win. Man city has it all for the beast like haaland.
      Messi at barca was incomparable to the present haaland. He create chances out of nowhere despite he is man marked all the time.

      Phonzie I agree that the Bundesliga should get more respect, but comparing numbers is stupid.
      1. City has better midfielders who produce a lot more
      2. Haaland has a near 1 goal per game ratio in the Bundesliga, injuries held him back sometimes, if he played all 34 games he would probably score 34/36 goals despite having weak production from his teammates

      I’m sorry but the fact that Haaland is a top pick is just a testament to how badly the amount of top talent is declining. This new generation, they’re not really good. Haaland is a strong striker with many many good functional qualities, but let Roberto Carlos drive a hard pass to us both and I control more balls than Haaland. How can that be the top pick for the ballon d’or? Look at the other top players below 30, there are so few of them. The new generation sucks compared to the one that’s now retiring.
