The right back role has been a problem area for Barcelona for a while now. However, with the use of Jules Koundé, the team seems to have found stability.

The question is, is it sustainable? And if Koundé isn’t the long-term solution, what kind of right back should Barça look to recruit in the summer? That’s what we’re discussing in today’s video.

Stay tuned for the next part, where I’ll be analysing the forward role that Barca should strengthen in the next transfer window.

  1. Joao Cancelo. Not wanted by Pep, not getting that many minutes at Bayern. You may argue, he costs alot of money, but Foyth wouldn't be cheap either. I'd be happy with either player for sure.

  2. Watching dis showing that Pedri and Dembele is the Key. Raphinha can't do la pausa, if he do dat, his dribbling would be more effective. He shouldnt rush when he doesn't need to. Roberto can play in RB but he lacks of resilient to get the ball back.

  3. we really need Cancelo, might be a huge transfer for us, he has a rough time at bayern, read today that he is coming back to Man City, but Pep doesnt want him, so they will probably sell him, need to work on that

  4. With Cancelo falling out of both city and Bayern, maybe just maybe we can get him for cheap? Do you think he’d be a good fit

  5. Arnau Martinez would be my choice. 20m release clause which should still be negotiable and brought down. Could really be someone like Balde on the right side. But we do not seem to be targeting him at all :/

  6. Nice video, I like your style! I Have been arguing with my friends about the ball clarity of Koundé, I thought I was the only one who saw it hahahha. Still Koundé is a good back-up option at the RB and a huge CB. I didn't thought about the fact that these last bad games with ball of Koundé were without Pedri. He is just the glue and brain of this team.
What do you think about the Cancelo option? I think it would be a really good combination with Koundé at the RB.

  7. I have an idea. Buy Messi so you can not go into Europa league and hope he activates Argentina passion mode. Give the ball to him and pray that he carries you to the final like 2019. Their defense and midfield is looking much better than it was in 2017-2019 with likes of Araujo Pedri gavi kounde lewandoski and they finally have a good coach xavi. Give the ball to him and inshallah. Short term solution
Edit: we also can’t judge kounde too much. He’s played the World Cup so he’s tired and he’s been in bad form for last few games vs Man U and Valencia. Don’t look at it too much and immediately start judging and asking for a new RB it could hurt his confidence. Form is temporary class is permanent

  8. It’s pretty evident that this wasn’t a failure as he mentioned. It’s clear when the squad is at full ability he excels at the position. However when Barca on the right are playing with their bench they clearly struggle due to the difference in abilities and style of play. I feel like it’s more important that Barcelona get another midfielder that can assist on the right side, whether it’s another young player with high potential or a vet for a season who can calming play minutes every now and then.

  9. Really straight forward though, If you change him you lose the solid defence, so it depends on what you want more. Raphinha is a back up player and when Dembele is back the other more attacking right back wont get a kick, like Bellerin.

  10. Araujo did not become this good and experience at his first spell. Give Kounde 1 more season and I believe before that season runs out, he must have improved immensely on this few lapses. He is a good player, deserves a little patient.

  11. Tbh I don't really want Foyth, he's a good RB but he's sometimes he's too rush and for a fullback he's not really that quick, I can see why Xavi would want him if we gonna keep playing with 3 atb in possession but Imo the RB should offer more than Foyth

  12. Foyth is a similar profile to Kounde. He's an ball carrying CB that was moved to the RB because he was error prone. If Barca wants an attacking RB, or even a balanced RB, Foyth is not the answer. He's more of the same.

  13. Bro, why ain't you publishing no mo? Really enjoy your content. Would be delighted at a vid discussing Nico and the CDM position.
