United are acting like they have leverage with Gakpo. That opportunity has passed. His value has risen $20-30 million since the World Cup. Another player we failed to secure when we did have a little leverage in the last transfer window but did not close the deal.
United are a joke when it comes to transfers and closing deals and have no leverage with this deal. Gakpo now has several options in front of him; let's hope that United is still his preference.
