Lenny went to my school but was nowhere near the great boxer so many sycophants claim he was. Top fighters who went there included John H Stracey, Dennis Andries, John L Gardner, Billy Taylor, Michael Watson and many more. Of the two Roy was much the better boxer and was fighting under a different name for Mickey Duff. Roy was not a liberty taker that was the difference between the two. I had great respect for Roy and none for Lenny because all the bad info about him was true and much of his book was pure hyperbole.
Lennys gloves were doctored in the first fight so it was hard to clench his fist and Shaw won on points not by KO. McLean knocked Roy out in the next 2 fights and it was lenny chasing Shaw around to get the fight, this video is full of inaccuracies.
