  1. Paulo Dybala for most periods of his Juventus tenure he was really good, when they were still dominating Serie A, he was probably the best player on the team and that run in 2017 to the champions league final, what he did to Barcelona in the first leg when he scored 2 goals based off of his first 3 seasons with his playmaking silky dribbling and incredible goalscoring abilities, I thought we saw a player who was set to be a superstar one of the best players in the world. Prior to his Juventus departure in 2022, he regressed and there are many factors in that.

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018 didn't help him as he became another player in the Juventus squad constantly being linked with a move away, and lost a lot of importance in the squad after they signed him as Ronaldo was the main focus of the team, Paulo Dybala wasted his prime years of his career in his shadow as without his transfer, he'd still be the best player on the team and we would see the absolute best out of him if he never went to Juventus. He was still able to shine and produce outstanding moments for them, but was inconsistent towards the end of his career at Turin. It also didn't help that he's very injury prone and gets hurt all the time as it has plagued him in recent years and his final season I know he missed a lot of games because of injury, when he was fit, he was very good at the end and for Juventus fans it was shocking that they let him leave on a free when talentwise at the time was the most important player on the team. Overall, Paulo Dybala had a great tenure at Juventus, I felt like he had so much more to offer and after 3 brilliant seasons there, last couple of years for him there were up and down and Cristiano Ronaldo joining and limiting his influence made his importance to the side wane over the seasons.

  2. At Roma under Jose Mourinho, Paulo Dybala has managed to somehow reignite his career even if it's only 50% but he's finding his form there again. He doesn't play much for the Argentine national team, regardless Paulo Dybala is a World Cup winner and even if he cannot game a game for his country, you still have the most important trophy in football and it only happens once every 4 years and whether you play a lot or not you have a World Cup to your CV. He had niggling injuries, but when fit, he looked back to his very best scoring goals, being silky on the ball and returning to top form and he had a very good season last time around as Roma are once again playing European football and indeed he scored the opening goal in the Europa League final against Sevilla, where unfortunately they lost on penalties and if they won they'd be playing champions league football next season, regardless, he and Roma had an outstanding season.

This Roma team perfectly works for him, because the team is his and it helps his confidence and belief again as a player and I'm happy he's doing well at Roma and despite his lack of playing time for Argentina, he has a World Cup to his name. There's always this feeling that he never reached his true potential, brilliant at Juventus individual wise and continued to help them dominate Serie A, really good at Roma, and for anyone to say that a World Cup winner didn't reach their full potential it tells you the ceiling that he had as a player when he was younger and despite the quality and trophies he's won, he still had a lot more to achieve in his peak years and at Roma he's enjoying his football again.
