Great hire! Ever since he joined the crew he’s turned us into a playoff team 4 out of 5 years he’s been great for us. I’ll definitely miss him for the Crew but glad he’s taking the next step

Great hire. Plays an attractive brand of soccer with limited resources at Columbus. I think his experience as a player with the USMNT will help and he knows what to expect. It will take time to get acclimated but at least the USMNT will have an identity. They will be organized and fun to watch.
A well edited video doesn't hide the fact that this is a very mediocre choice. Hiring a mediocre coach from a mediocre MLS team is not going to make the US. Everything about the US football team right now is mediocre from top to bottom.
He'd better prove me wrong once he takes the MNT helm, and turn our team into Gold Cup winners this upcoming summer, then a far stronger team beyond that.
Berhalter is going to shock a lot of people. He has spent the several years taking a team consisting mostly of scrubs (no offense) with almost no ownership support and turning in them in to one of the most feared sides in MLS. Eurosnobs will look down on this for sure, but as an Atlanta Unted supporter I have learned the hard way to never underestimate him.
Everyone's upset we hired a coach whose succes wasn't due to the level of talent his GM could afford.
