Chito Vera vs Pedro Munhoz was misunderstood by many because of the commentating missing so much of what Chito did through his defense.

  1. Lol weasel it's so obvious your bias's. You always compliment with happy tones on fighters you like. You compliment with negative tones if you don't like the fighters. It's why you'll never get my subscription. Your analysis is decent, but it's soooooo annoying the way you put such obvious inflections in your breakdowns.

  2. That fact is Chito is one of the biggest threats to O'malley in the division. Patient, some of the best striking defense in the division, seems impossible to KO, has a face made of steel that shows no damage, and has a lot of versatility in his striking and throws with nasty intentions. I hope we see this fight in December

  3. Sandhagen found Chito's chin over and over. That fight was a perfect example of 50-45 yet was a split decision. Pedro Munoz is nowhere close to Sandhagen. Not close. Chito did look fantastic but I still think really technical strikers piece him up.

  4. No way! Did I hear something about a looping punch beating a straight punch? I almost thought it was the 1st day of April or its time for my annual ear cleaning.

  5. It isnt a punch dodging competition… defence shouldnt be scored, its there to allow you to return damage better. The whole sport is about damage done.

  6. you should talk about the scoring from rogan and dc, they were talking like volume trumps all. so now you have a situation where chito clearly wins and on the scorecards where rogan and dc made it sound like chito only won the 3rd

  7. to be fair, commentators are watching the fight from their view, so they don't get the camera angles like us when we're tuning in from a tv screen. it's not until they get to see replays on their desk that they see what did or didn't happen.

  8. The fluidity and variety of Vera's striking is what makes it so beautiful and it's his outstanding defense that allows him to enter that flow state so seamlessly in the 2nd and 3rd round. I cannot WAIT for Vera vs O'Malley 2!

  9. Hi Weasle, been enjoying your excellent fight analysis videos for a while now. I was wondering where your impressive knowledge of combat arts comes from. I have learned so much from your breakdowns of the technical aspects of MMA.Thanks and keep up the great work!

  10. People can sit here and try to act like purists with this fight and all of that, but this was one of the most boring fights I watched on the card. I do agree though that they were acting as if Munoz was landing stuff with big reactions when most of his strikes were blocked or evaded. I remember one punch he threw and they went crazy when it was blocked entirely and just made a loud sound.

  11. Dude umar nurmagomedov is going to beat everyone in the top10 in round onešŸ˜‚ these guys stink get real look at all these low iq mistakes like footwork and angling errors by both.. wtf… total rookies compared to umar

  12. DC and Rogan are both so biased you might as well turn the sound off. They call so many air punches as a good shot that you would think you were hearing Hendrix playing an air guitar.

  13. I love my boys but the commentary in this one was aweful, especially first 2 rounds. (Epstein didn't kill himself and saying O'Malley is the real champ is like saying Biden is a legitimate president)

  14. Pedro chin has always been underrated def top 10 I wanna see him fight song if song can’t knock him out I don’t think anybody can but that being said Marlon does has good defense but we’ve seen him eat a lot of clean shots in other fights and that man won’t even bruise bro a mutant or something

  15. Get off Chitos nuts he fights like he is having a spar dude has no urgency should’ve been able to put Pedro away can’t wait for Suga to put his lights out

  16. Man Joe and DC were sucking off Pedro practically all fight until late third where they saw how bad Pedro's face looked and that he had gotten beaten up and Chito looked 10000% fresh. Nothing Pedro did actually landed it seems like, Chito is a literal god at rolling and deflecting shots. Defense so good, that the commentary don't even realize you're not really being hit.

  17. Weasle thanks for checking Joe and D.C. They seem to be getting sloppier. Joe's reverting to old bad habits like giving for what's thrown not necessarily what lands. He did that back in the Goldberg days.

  18. Chito's jabs looked solid, I'm not sure how far this iteration of Chito gets.. earlier looked better. I'll go out on a limb and say Sean wins and likely finishes Chito next time around, if that happens.

  19. Pedro did good but really got out classed. You can see it on Chito's face, dude never gets his face touched. He's one of my favorite fighters, especially after I thought he was going to get killed by O'Malley and he actually ko's O'Malley. Dudes awesome.

  20. This is a perfect example of why stats don’t win fights. Way too often I see people post the fight stats as if it tells the story of how clean punches landed

  21. DC and Rogan, imo, are the worst commentators. I wish the UFC would use people like Stephen Thompson. He would be an awesome commentator. They also should use Paul Felder more in place of those two

  22. I think Rogan at this point is just there for the spectacle now. Like he's just casually watching it front row talking to his buddies about what he's seeing lol. You can tell just by listening he was so much more energetic and passionate about the fights he commentated on years ago. Might just be because he's getting older but hey 🤷 (Still always prefer him over DC) 🤮

  23. I don’t think anyone is arguing that Chito’s defense is bad so this video is kinda fighting a straw man. He just has very little offense so visually, yeah, it always looks like he’s losing. It’s bad strategy unless he lands the big strike he needs to. Some times he does, some times he doesn’t šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø.

  24. I watched live and it was so damn good. Amazing card, Boston is amazing. Guaranteed best card to have watched LIVE of the year. met so many fighters there too. Sandhagen, Burns, Paul Craig, Font, Kattar, Joe Lauzon. Got drunk with Drakkar Close, partied for an hour and shot the shit about fighting and life. Best time of my life

  25. Nobody cares weasel. Chito hasn't finished an opponent under the age of 43 in half a decade. You are wasting your time breaking down a fighter that is not who we thought he was. Get over him. He's a future journeyman.
