Defense was excellent. Schar and Botman salvaged our goal difference big time. Pope was good, can’t blame him for the goal really, it was a great finish by Alvarez.
Midfield got trumped. Bruno’s shot was gash. Tonali didn’t get the ball enough. Joelinton was gash. Someone should’ve stayed on Foden. Longstaff was terrible when he came on. Anderson was decent and should probably start over one of the Brazilians next game.
Forwards were mostly poor. Barnes created some chances towards the end but Almiron was just not good enough, took way too long to make a decision. Wilson made the wrong decision to pass the ball backwards and ruined one of the best chances we had. Isak was anonymous.
Never got going today, onto the next, deffo can get all 3 v Liverpool at home, our defence is immense
