  1. what analysis is this? they clear don know saying this everytime.. dont know.. and just coz they have say something they blabber what THEY think might have happened just some random stuffs

  2. Laporte was a good player for City. He was the best CB in the 18/19 season and was key in City’s 21/22 title win. Even in the seasons he didn’t play as much he was still solid. Very underrated imo.

  3. Aymeric Laporte is someone I can tell from his body language!! The way he defends and was making mistakes got me absolutely pissed!! I mean don’t get me wrong, he is not worse than Harry Maguire but he still was making mistakes and City fans obviously preferred Dias and Stones partnership later on!!

  4. I feel like Pep does that with all his players…At anytime he will test you by just dropping you just to see if you gonna fight back to gain your position back! Some react others can't handle it…He even did it with KDB last season!

  5. Laporte strikes me as a loner. He is on par with Stones in terms of talent but he seems to have an issue being directed by Dias who is the organiser of the defense when playing.

  6. Still a top top player. But he seems little bit silent on the pich to shout and direct fellow defenders i think. that is very important in peps recent defencive set up and Gvardiol also need to focus on that. he made some mistakes yestarday and Akanji as well he was sleepy and not focused.

  7. His ACL didn't help but even with that he is one of the best CBs on the planet. Pep really doesn't like sad faces tho when you're not in the team for a few games. I think that is the main issue.

  8. Nothing really went wrong, besides untimely injuries for him, still one of the 10 best ball playing CB’s on the planet but Ruben came in & is simply a more natural leader on the pitch he’s old school compared to the rest of City CB, Laporte is in his prime so he should be a starter somewhere no none is forcing him out

  9. Laporte got a bad knee injury a couple of seasons back and has lost a yard good player still but not as mobile. Unfortunately no sentiment in football

  10. I think Pep feels Laporte is not good enough for his system. Maybe the ball posession, retention, moving the ball forward and all that. His injury record also isnt that great. He has had a major injury almost every season. Made a couple of major mistakes in some vital games. Nonetheless He is still a good defender and a good person but i guess Pep feels there are better options than him to make City's game better.

  11. Is everyone forgetting that he made the ultimate sacrifice for his club by playing injured in the final few games of 2021/22 season to win the EPL?! This led to a very long and difficult recovery and maybe even permanent damage. The man is a legend and no one can say anything bad about him

  12. They have Gvardiol, Stones, Dias, Akanji, complete stack of central defenders. Man city must sell Laporte, Stones, Walker and Cancelo on or before summer of August 2025

  13. The name is Guardiola. I hate how fans and pundits constantly call him by his silly nickname, as if they're pals of his (more like fawning idol worshippers). The guy manages a famous football team; he's not some sort of human god, fer cryin' out loud.

  14. It was that one error vs Real Madrid in the CL on the right where he just didn't make a challenge that lead to a goal. At least that's my theory if we're going with Pep losing faith in him.

  15. Pep is arguably the best manager in the world, but he is also very difficult to work with. His ruthlessness sometimes goes to the extreme, and some players would only consider moving on rather than fighting for a place back into the team . KDB is the only player, imo who has managed to handle Pep's wrath. There is no way you can tell Pep to shut up in front of cameras and get away with it. History proves all players who had crossed his path where moved on quickly . It's unfortunate Laporte has found himself on the wrong side of Pep's law, and he'll definitely leave City his days are numbered.

  16. This is being overthought imo. Laporte wants to play more. He’s won literally everything possible at City if they win CWC. And this is life changing money. Generational money. He can play there for 3 years and still come back to a top European club

  17. The answer is very simple. The evolution of tactics. He is still a world class defender and there is no debating that. His attributed probably do not fit into the current City tactics.

  18. I like the player when he first came. But I hate that dumb celebration he does. I feel like pep hated that celebration too. But solid player. He didnt live to the hype tho for man city.

  19. Hmmmm…. for a football player, playing at the highest level is very important but then Life is certainly paramount and guess for some after training very hard, pushed/abused by the coaches, they might wanna slow down to smell the roses? Playing e.g. in Saudi still earns U tons of $$$$ and it's surely not as taxing? Just my 2-Riyal 🤭🤭👌👌

  20. Was great for us in the past but now with Diaz An Akanji an Ake all in form performing better an on top signing Gvardiol, sadly there is no room for Laporte in the back line, great cb tho good luck to him!

  21. Laporte was one of the reason Liverpool won the Premier League in 19/20. His infamous injury vs Brighton, which keep him out until early 2020, really affected the club. The club is totally exposed to counterattacks from the opponents due to the lack of defensive style he possessed.

  22. At one point, he was one of the best defenders in the world for like 2 years. He got injured and was never given time to really recover. He played injured in a ton of games. Then, when he was healthy he wasn’t picked and his confidence took a dive. Most players are like that. Now go make that Money buddy
