Morocco defender Yahia Attiyat Allah insisted his side are at ease ahead of Sunday’s Group F match against Belgium, a day after the “Atlas Lions” held 2018 World Cup finalist Croatia to a goalless draw.
“Honestly, there’s no pressure on us. All the players are confident and the coach has given us a lot of support,” said Attiyat Allah.
Walid Regragui’s men will be buoyed by their performance against Croatia and in the mood for the Belgium challenge.
Regragui, who took over Morocco only three months ago, has reinstalled unity to the squad by reinstating Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech and Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui.
Previous coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, had side-lined the two players to the dismay of the Moroccan people.
The Atlas Lions came into the tournament having only lost two of their past 40 games across three years.
