  1. Leave her alone. She has spent a lot of time getting this team to where they are. She will want to win many trophies with them and build a dynasty. Why would a move to the men's team be considered a step up? She's won two straight Euro titles and is in her second straight WC final. The men's team is no prize as a manager.

  2. Wow for once the FA actually has some sense to remove bottlegate for a true winner doesn't matter if she's a female she way better and Southgate who is a bottlejob

  3. Give her a go at the men's job it's been 57 years since the 66 world cup win at least she's got the women to a final and seems able to get the best out of them can't be any worse than the failures the men's team have had and would pick on form and not favourites or play players out of position

  4. Absolute nonsense, people will say its ignorant or sexist. But surely she herself would accept that the levels of mens and women's football at the absolute highest level (which this is) are decades apart in every regard. Their are far better equipped and experienced (at elite level managers) out there.

  5. I am a huge Serena fan and women’s football but needs to start of maybe assistant coach of men’s. It’s a whole different game. She’s has the leadership skills but needs to spend a lot of time on men’s tactics. Would love to see her in the job though.

  6. My Sunday league team beats the England women. Womens football level is atrocious with the majority of goals being from goalkeeping or defensive errors.

  7. Honestly, if the woman is the best person for the job (IF and ONLY IF) then I would support the candidacy.

But I have to question first of all: If the news is reporting this story: On what grounds is this woman in the running compared to other choices and where does she rate in contrast to them? Who are they? Why is she already top-billing by tone of this report?

What I think is negative is when there's a WOKE Propaganda agenda for equality promoted by the UN to try to cover every aspect of society and culture and pretend there's no differences between men and women and end up with another trans tragedy of some kind all over again due to this process in the West that's saturating everywhere.

As said, back to the facts, Who are the candidates for the job and of those who is the best and why? Why is this person's name being put forwards as ALREADY THE BEST as opposed to "ALONG SIDE so and so"?

The news reporting seems once again fishy and agenda-driven.

One final related but independent oberservation: Women officials can do the job as well, but I notice in Rubgy Union and League I prefer a male referee where the players can be aggressive and challenge the ref's call with their aggression against another man while also with the respect holding them in check for the referee. I think men immediately don't like to do this against a woman and they're checking themselves too much. In that "heat of the moment battle" I like to see them fired up and get pissed at a call but take it on the chin also once the ref explains. I think it's taking that edge out of the game with the female refs… I may be wrong on this observation but it's worth putting out there: There are differences in behaviour and even when the physical demands of refereeing are equal this is another factor to consider. I don't think it's such an issue in football/soccer where it's more about decision-making and physicality to measure.

  8. Put Southgate into womens team and he doesnt make the final a hundred percent. But a woman should not be in a men's dressing room, I dont think this ever happened at pro level in any sport and it shouldnt
