To answer your question, I would take the trophy all day every day.
The obsession with the champions league is everything that’s wrong with football imo. It’s more like a status symbol than a competition, which isn’t what sport is about.
Players say they want to
play in it but they rarely say they want to win it, the whole mentality is wrong. You don’t say you want to play in the FA cup, you say you want to win it.
Rice is a perfect example, he’s gone to a CL club but they don’t stand a great chance of winning it and that’s not sour grapes from me, check with the bookmakers on Arsenals odds, it’s just the reality.
When a top class professionals ambition is just to participate in a competition, you know something is wrong with football.

I'd keep what we have, those memories will last forever, as for Dec if he'd wanted to stay he wouldn't have pushed so hard to leave. Personally we aren't good enough for CL so at this moment in time what's the point a bit like Gooners chances really.

Morning Luke. I think its a sad day Dec has gone. I know there are some bitter fans who will never forgive him for going to Arsenal. Hope he is happy and wish him the best of luck. It has dragged on for too long. We were not really allowed to celebrate the trophy that we won after all those years, as the Dec saga started only a few hours after winning it. I'm not keen on Harry Maguire tbh. Let's hope we continue to have a great pre season and a great 2023/24 ⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️
I agree with you in relation to maguire mate. Don't particularly like the guy from what I've seen but as a player I think he would do a job for us.
Time to move on. Totally agree about Maguire and JWP, they will have an opportunity to rebirth their careers with us. Can you imagine us at set pieces, Maguire, Zouma, Aguerd, Scamma and JWP knocking the ball in! As much as I hate them n.London mugs Arse. There is something to say on how they managed to do so well last season and they have done it again for this season. They have brought in premier league experienced players, Zinchenco, Jesus, Jorginho, Havertz and now Rice. Getting in Ward & Maguire is the right thing to do.
