  1. You shot yourself in the foot? What four times? 😂
Today's score line should have been a cricket score, you were out classed in every aspect of the game.

  2. Rob , please let someone else do the postmatch debrief when your voice is suffering like this. Hopefully Barkley will improve things and I hope more returnees and additions to the squad will make things better as well.

  3. Not good enough today Luton need to improve a lot very very disappointing performance from a lifelong loyal hatter need to raise our game we are better than that gutted

  4. Luton played really well today, Brighton often struggled to break them down.
The big difference is that Brighton are now a team that play to win every game, whereas Luton play to not lose and hope to maybe scrape a win. The Premier League is tuff.

  5. Albion fan here. Welcome to the Premier League. The 4-1 scoreline flattered us. I thought the Hatters were fairly well-organised and threatened on the counter. Just got to hang in there and learn quickly, as Edwards noted. A lot of positives for Luton to take away. Best wishes.

  6. Despite the way the game went, your heads never went down and you kept trying to attack. That’s spirit and it’ll get you results this season. Steep learning curve, but it always is when you get promoted. Good luck this season and enjoy the ride!

    Brighton fan.

  7. Luton have been through worse, much worse in recent years against sides much inferior to the current Brighton team:
    4-0 at Watford last season
    7-0 at Fulham in 2022,
0-5 at home against Birmingham in 2021
    7-0 at Brentford in 2019
AND in every single case, Luton have bounced back either to escape relegation one season, make the playoffs in another and then win promotion last season to the Premier League.
AND they will bounce back from this opening day defeat. Some harsh lessons. But if nothing else, Luton are very good students… and they will learn.

  8. Before the game I said I would settle for a 2-0 defeat. Having seen Brighton destroy the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd last season my fear was an absolute hammering. With 9 mins of normal time left not acceptable to concede 2 late goals to very poor defending.

  9. Edwards knows midfield got over run & im sure he will tweak that area. Not so sure Giles deserves to walk straight in over Doughty at the moment & there must be at least 20 – 30 minutes for alan Campbell he wouldn't of dwelled on that ball like Pelly.

  10. You need to recruit Premier League or the equivalent European players. Not from Barnsley, Birmingham and Rotherham. You’ve also got to dump some of them old Luton players who are not at this level. That includes Pelly.
