Justin Salas is legally blind with 90% vision loss. Despite his visual condition he is one of the most successful climbers I personally know and this is his story.

  1. The quality of your videos is truly insane, from the subject to the way you treat it, all of this without forgetting the raw quality of your footage ! Keep crushin' ! Can't wait to see what you do next !

  2. This episode was very special.
We have had the opportunity to climb with a guy with 0% vision, after a few tries he was doing 7a lead climb locking every move.
He was even making jokes about the "on sight" climbing ("a vista" in spanish) and when we told him it was time to leave because it was geting dark he said "I'm fine"
    These people are very inspiring.

  3. This is amazing! I don't know what would be more challenging for climbing, being 90% visually impaired, or living in Oklahoma… 🤔

You should reach out to my man Ronnie Dickson if you're interested in doing a video about amputee climbers, he climbs harder than most and never makes any excuses

  4. Why do so many American accents have final word elongation, making it sound like they're asking a question and unsure of every statement? I don't mean this as an insult, I just find it interesting that so many Americans have adopted this way of speaking. It's definitely becoming more and more common. I wonder if it will become part of the typical American accent one day?

  5. Is it normal if my eyes were wet while watching this video ? I can't explain but I have so much respect for people like Justin. Here in my country, people are constantly whining about everything. They are always comparing themselves with others…. Meanwhile, this video was pure and refreshing. Albert, you are awesome. Hope you will reach 100k before 2021, you deserve it. Your vids are soo good. Keep crushing it

  6. Very, very impressive climbing. However I keep wondering since it seems that Justin doesn’t know the diagnose of the sickness. To me it sounds very much like the rare Stargardt Disease. There is no cure for it but it is possible to significant lowering the development of it. Please have a look into this

  7. I've been climbing for well over a decade and when I say I'm a total climbing video addict I mean it. Having watched every single film I can get my hands on for as long as I can remember, there are only a few that I could point to as invoking a truly emotional response. This is one of those films. What you've made here embodies climbing and the community of amazing, inspiring individuals that make it so great.

Thanks for sharing some insight into Justin's world, can't wait to see his documentary!

  8. i met justin two days ago at cowell, AK, and i just wanted to mention that he's such a nice dude, super chill, and doesn't complain about anything. he just gives climbing his all and its so damn inspiring. this dude is the real deal

  9. You either know all these amazing people, or you're able to lift up your friends into the spotlight of a video and make them seem truly amazing. I wonder where your unique interviewing skill will take you in the future.
