  1. Stop selecting slow centre backs. There’s a reason Ten Hag doesn’t choose Maguire and likely to sell him next summer. He can’t play a high line and keep the team pushed forward and compact because of his lack of recovery pace. Both him and Stones got stuck way behind the advantage line passing between themselves. USA just pressed England back and easily contained England because they were playing in front of them.

Too late for this WC. Nothing has changed since last WC semi and Euros final last year. Midfield getting dominated by a well organised team.

Until England can keep their shape, higher up the pitch and closer together England won’t win a WC or Euros. Players too spread out across the pitch and then isolated when they get the ball. It’s harder to get closer to opponents goal and create chances. All players are going to do is tire running after and chasing the ball and opposition.

  2. One thing needs to change, Pratgate needs to leave. He has zero tactical knowledge, picks his favourites, and parks the bus against teams we should steamroll

  3. the amount of quality in the squad we should easily go to final but with this prat we can't even win our 3 games in the group
the likes of Bellingham , Foden , kane , saka , rice they are generational talent we will look back in 20 years and will say we should have won something with this squad

  4. Southgoat won't drop his teachers pets also he's the F,Arce, s yes man and posterboy ,Wales have got nothing to lose except pride which they have in buckets ,sterling has been crappie for 2 years nothing,s changed ,, wait till England play someone decent
There're coming home There're coming home englands coming home

  5. It can't be a few things…they last won in 1966…6-1 we will win the WC…0-0 total meltdown…never seen such a fickle nation 🤮

Your biggest problem is the strength and popularity of the EPL and your ability to use English to influence narratives…remove that, English football is mediocre…you don't have to look any further than McGuire…useless at club level, "great" at international level 🤷‍♂️😜

The sooner you get knocked out, the better it will be for our own sanity and eardrums 😜‼

  6. After Monday we were told by the English media that Bellingham was the new Messi and Ronaldo.Didn’t get a kick last night.

  7. Spencer talks so passionately about wanting to win but then says too back the manager. Backing Southgate is basically settling for second place at best. His lack of tactical ability and unwillingness to take a risk is why he’ll never win. Shocking take

  8. The objective is to win the group without taking pointless risks. England won the World Cup in 1966 with an opening 0-0 draw with Uruguay. They really didn't play well until Portugal in the semi-final – but they found a way to win. Trouncing everyone in the group stages still only gets you to the last 16. Southgate's pragmatism helps. Maybe not pretty but England in 66 were not exciting to watch – but they were effective in grinding out results.

  9. Not the formation or line-up for the rest of the tournament but one for next game. Give some players rest etc.

    . Wilson
    Rashford Foden

    Grealish Bellingham

    Phillips
    Shaw Cody Stones Trent

  10. I now think southgates strategy was to make the whole team play sh*t to make Harry Maguire look good….he succeeded well done 👍

Also if you think a manager having a game plan of playing for draw against the USA in the WC group stages is acceptable then you need to lose your TV pundit job as much as Southgate needs to lose the managers job

  11. People's hate on Trent's defensive flaws are wildly overinflated. He is not any worse than Trippier was defensively last night AND he would have been better going forward. Trippier's set pieces were also rubbish, his corners were wasted opportunities. Trent won't play a minute and it's such a shame. Southgate not being able to know how to use players like Foden or Trent is embarrassing.

  12. Foden, Foden, Foden, FODEN!!!

Play him in the centre behind the striker in the No 10 role and let him do what he does best. He’s so talented he can play anywhere across the front line. He’s our creative playmaker and will pull the strings. He should be the first name on the team sheet and you build the team around him. Mount is a decent player, but he’s no Foden.

Glenn Hoddle is a brilliant tactician and would get the best out of these players.
