      Season is over before started. Only a fool will think we can cope with all tournaments without a proven striker. Nketiah? 😂

      That tackle by that player from Barcelona might have caused that damage to Gabriel Jesus…that tackle was horrendous and went unpunished. ….ohhh, that game was a friendly .

      We do need a striker, we lose a lot with Jesus and his knee. Unless you’re planning to risk putting Havertz in there, we do need a body upfront. The market for them centre forwards is deader than my local morgue though…

      Given our style of play and ratio of chance creation, one of Mitrovic,Toney or Vlahovic would fill their boots with goals playing for us. Unfortunately Toney cannot even begin to be a viable option.

      We already know where arsenal are concerned that 'only a small procedure' and 'out for a couple of weeks' is code for injured for 6-10 weeks, by which time a title challenge could be face down in the Thames.

      No doubting Jesus gives us a delightful way of playing where the sum of its parts outweigh his number of goals, but this is exactly why the clamour for an alternative type of striker who's more of an out and out predator goalscorer already existed before this flick of our left bollock.

      Another injury to jesus,sorry but this guy as good as he is cant stay fit and they are long term aswell,time to get real and sign a striker.

      It's very sad cause we all knew that the injury was gonna happen in a long run, but unfortunately it's happening now, and to tell the truth, even if Jesus was fit, we 'd have needed a good game changer striker, I still say Ivan Toney will always be the best for us, he can be that expensive, but it's worth it.

      Our front 3, absent G.Jesus (Martinelli, Saka & Trossard forget Nketia) are great players no doubt, but are guys really that delusional to think that they'd be sufficient for an entire season, not to mention CL. Seriously guys even with a fit G.Jesus, we still need a proper striker if we are truly challenging for PL and CL but if it's just to make our regular top 4 then I'd say our current squad is sufficient.

      Agree with Laurie we needed a striker before Jesus got injured. It is a crucial position we need to address asap before the transfer market ends. Sell Eddie and Balogun and get a decent striker in.

      This is a chance for both Eddie and Balogun to showcase themselves to us. I hope they both pop off but I'm mainly interested in seeing how Balogun performs and if it's great in this team then we keep him or we show the world that £50+ million is fair value.
