West Ham’s Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta has changed agents and is reported to be requesting a move for ‘footballing reasons’. With Mark Warburton departing with the same issues we ask if David Moyes is hindering the Hammers recruitment and player retention?

  1. Got a story for you boys… I am a season ticket holder and I questioned the club and chairman on a lack of ambition, because of this the club have taken it upon themselves to cancel my season ticket without permission and left my sons one active.. this is how they treat their supporters/ customers… I am absolutely fuming. If you want me to come on and discuss I am happy too… what a shit show our club is 🤬🤬🤬

  2. strange that paqueta didn't understand the way moyes play's when we played against him in the europa league when he played against us for lyon? he never watch west ham when he was link to us really ?

  3. You should quote the source of this stuff, rather than "rumours" else it looks like you're issuing videos for click baiit. Which don't age well and actually make you worse off in the long run regards subscribers and credibility. We've just won a European Trophy, never happened in your lifetime, be happy ?

  4. The players don't enjoy playing the Moyes way. And the fans don't enjoy watching the Moyes way. What is not black and white about that Gonzo? The solution is for the Board to make Moyes an offer he cannot refuse to disappear! What is there not to like about the Booard dumping old school Dave in order to appease the players and the fans? COYI !

  5. Why would anyone want to play the way we do, not only are we going to struggle to attract top quality footballers, we’re going to struggle to keep hold of the ones we’ve got. I been saying this for at least a year now. Moyes has to go. āš’COYI

  6. I don't want Moyes to be " sacked" however if a style of football is forcing a player like scamacca out, who from glimpses that we have seen we know he is a lethal finisher, and now paqueta who is in my opinion world class. It does really make you feel as if Mr Moyesiah has to go. I think we should have had a new manager lined up prior to the transfer window and then that manager and Tim steiden could have built a more attacking side. Instead we are in looking to enter the season with not much movement in the transfer market apart from out goings. Losing Rice is bad enough but to lose Paqueta and Scamacca, possibly Thilo Kehrer as well, it is very upsetting. We have just won a european cup and yet we are less appealing than most premier league clubs. I think moyes should be out the door and we need to build a team around Paqueta and Scamacca to project us back to the top 7 spots to secure europe again.

  7. Excellent and very fair analysis Gonzo. I will add Alan Irvine, Stuart Pearce, and now Mark Warburton have left Moyes. Is it normal for coaches to leave a club at this rate? If Warburton left after 1 season, and Alan Irvine and Stuart Pearce also did same thing, then its safe to say, Moyes is the common factor.

  8. Nothing wrong with counter attacking football with the right organisation and pace..we try to do a bit differently šŸ˜”.
We struggled last season and just lost our best player…I'm not hopefull with Moysie in charge

  9. I would not credit Moyes with the Conference League trophy. Any manager could take a Premier League side through that farmer league in all honesty.

  10. Moyes should have gone after the cup match hopefully that steidman fella soon realizes moyes is no good for us and our players leave because of our style at this rate we will remain mediocre at best no ambition under moyes

  11. Congratulations to Moyes for winning us a cup, however his style of football almost got us relegated. Either Moyes needs to change or Moyes needs to go. Football evolves, managers need to evolve with it.

  12. I've said this previously in other videos, but without trying to add fuel to the fire I've been told by someone who talks to Mark Robson who lives near him in Upminster that most of the youth squad through all ages and alot of the other players don't like Moyes or his tactics.
The main reason for the youngsters feeling this way is that he doesn't watch that much youth football, which I find highly disturbing considering how well our under 18's done last season.
This leads to a severe lack of opportunities for most of the youth squad due to Moyles refusing to take chances on them and preferably picking senior players no matter their form. When Harry Ashby left, the alarm bells started ringing for me. The kid was class, massive potential.
Now, with the Warburton and Paqueta information coming to light, we should seriously be thinking about the future of our club and not being loyal to a Manager that literally stayed in his job because of one game that we didn't even play particularly well in.

  13. Give it a rest, you anti Moyes cohort are the Rumour mungers who spew out crap just to line your own pockets through youtube monetisation.

  14. I like Moyes but the fact is we were dreadful in the PL last season . You and others caught up in the cup win. I think it will be proven as I think he won't last 10 games in the pL next season if Moyes continues in the same style of football. It was unforgivable that the new players were kept sat on the bench at the of the season, they were raring to go. Yet moyes destroyed their fire in their belly. What top striker will join us having seen what Moyes did to haller and Scamacca. Moyes should of gone after the cup win. This will prove to be right I'm sure…

  15. Still Moyes out, I think if moyes goes now it would seemingly be such a scrumptious move for a manager. Big money to spend after rice leaves and an opportunity to mold a new squad to your liking.

Look at the money we have spent the last few years. We should be playing exciting and nice football

  16. These videos and friendly debates are what it's all about! Appreciate all the work you guys do here on the channels etc āš’ļøšŸ«§ we all have opinions but it's nice to actually be able to put them across to each other without it turning bad.

Bit of a cheeky addition which I hope you don't mind? I have tried to find and search multiple times for any sort of contact details for the club to speak with recruitment/ someone who can point me in the right direction. Do you have any advice or anywhere I can contact ? No worries if not, worth an ask though.

  17. Been a fan from the US for over a decade now. Waking up at the ass crack of dawn to watch games. I can still hear the critique of Sam Allardyce with his "long ball" tactics. Slavin Billic being skewered after the move from the Upton Park. What would make this fan base happy? What would make the players happy? Is Paqueta going to be another Payet? Moyes had saved this team multiple times from relegation and continues to deliver European football. I'm reading Johnquinn below about the way this team has "historically played"?! How may times has the way West Ham have played has given this team success? The past three years under Moyes have been fucking glorious. This year was a struggle but even Stevie Wonder could see why. Proud of the Hammers and I hope Moyes continues until we push him out on the touchline in a wheel chair.

  18. I don't dislike David Moyes I actually thought he was what was needed at the time he came in for the second time, he did what he needed to and I am grateful for what he has done for the club but what we have all seen over the last season and a half has convinced me that his time is up. Going now would have allowed a pat on the back, a well done and you will be remembered fondly. Now lots of us are now thinking about next season with utter dread. Any decent forwards will most likely avoid us like the plague. I just think now that David Moyes remaining will result in any decent players we do approach with the Rice money will simply say no thanks which will sadly mirror that sad time where we had a title challenging side and then imploded. Sorry to be brutal but after the way John Lyall and Billy Bonds were treated I would have no problem in say thanks goodbye here is the golden handshake.

  19. for the club to go forward we really need a change of manager, how many good players have we had that Moyes can't get a tune out of and now the one he can doesn't like playing under him, although parquets musket known the style of football moyes likes to play before signing. if the rumours are to be believed that antonio wants to move then that's moyesball well and truly F****d

  20. He plays in a technically brilliant Brazil team with forward attacking tactics with players who want to attack…… I can understand but in any team in any league across Europe you cannot just attack all the time due to quality of teams….. there has to be a balance and to be fair West Ham’s style balance does need adjusting from to defensive to a bit more attacking

  21. I would hate to see Paqueta leave, but you are right the style of football is the problem. Paqueta and others in the team need to play attacking football and be on the front foot.

  22. If he stays at west ham he will lose his Brazil starting possison . Joelinton and bruno of Newcastle are far better playing together and now joelinton is a Brazilian starter , paqueta kniws he has to play for a more attacking team

  23. Paqueta wants to leave for footballing reasons? Maybe? PSG is a much richer club and La Liga is a less physical more technical league. Paqueta struggled with the physical nature of the league which is why he took so long to bed in.

He has already played in France and players never admit to moving for money. I think this one is indeterminate.

Antonio my just be trying to defend himself. I read a lot of critical comments about him not scoring enough. I think while he could score more, he does a lot for the team and improves our overall play. But one way to explain his goal output is to draw attention to his role. If people were not pointing the finger he probably would not bring it up. He scored 10 goals with the same tactics and nobody said a thing.

Rice did not seem to have a problem with tactics. He has improved and improved. I think the talk of tactics is a gross oversimplification.

  24. Moyse should be booted out we’re gonna struggle again this season. Ok we won the Cup but it was the players not Dithering Dave. They’re holding back again for Rices money go out get deals done early or we’re gonna miss out once again šŸ˜”āš’ļø

  25. I'm grateful for what Moyes eventually provided us with, by way of a trophy, but it his own atrophy that is going to cost this club. Time to go but sadly, he won't be released until he has dropped us to a new level. Let's just hope it is not relegation. He danced so close to this last season. Time for a new West Ham manager please. COYI

  26. I can’t see why paqueta wants to leave he knew the way Moyes plays before he signed . I was looking at another WestHam you tube yesterday saying that he was happy to be playing for us this coming season.

  27. Great video Gonzo. The issues are clear and concerning. How does the West Ham way 2.0 meet Moyes Ball 1.0 is the £105 million question? I hope they have thought this through or it may end in tears

  28. In retrospect we have stalled the club’s progress allowing Moyes to stay another year. Unless he can throw off his own shackles (unlikely) he will do things his way, and unless he’s going to win the Europa (unlikely) we are in for a challenging season, stinking out the Prem again

  29. Has it been dire to watch at times? Yes. Is it over cautious and reactive? Yes. Has it got better as the season progressed? Yes. Has it been effective in the past three years for a team of West Ham“s realistic aspirations? Yes. Has the squad improved overall? Yes.
To be fair, over the past three years Moyes has bought a few ballers and I think the transfers this time round will give fans a glimpse of what to expect next year, especially how he replaces Rice and Soucek. He“s going to need three above average players and if rumours are to be believed the Zakaria deal is nearly done, so that“s one DM to replace Soucek; so does that mean Onana isn“t coming? Or are they serious about Alex Scott? Or JWP? And then there“s Harvey Barnes. Does Moyes plan to inject more speed into the team? Who is about to be offloaded? All will be revealed soon enough, but the guy“s surely earned the right to have his judgement trusted for one more year.

  30. Yes Moyes is hindering players progress. Amateur defensive tactics. Killing players joy of playing. Its very sad.this year will make or break Moyes..

  31. There is an issue here. It’s easy to criticise Moyes’ style of play but it has brought success. I have no problem with people wanting a more attractive style of play, I also think it’s fair for Moyes to point to his success as justification for his tactics. What makes no sense to me is why we have spent so much money on players who are unsuitable for his style of play, likewise, why these players decided to come in the first place knowing his tactics, it’s not like they were a secret. I’m talking primarily about Scamacca and Paqueta here.
