We got away with it last season because of Rashford and the defence. But Rashford isn't reliable and even with him we only scored 58 in the premier league. Caicedo do hope something in that ; even with the added cost he is a massively better deal. MC is years younger , way more potential and positionally / style of play addresses much more what we need compared to Mount. Any uncertainty with him going to Chelsea we need to swoop in , MC should be having some hesitation going there anyway ; we should move in but will we is another question.
Rabiot i actually like the deal. We are clearly operating in a tight budget so a quality player on a free , why not. Plus he is a big strong physical CM , good ball carrier , fairly good defensively and adds goals from the mid as well. Also clearly better than Scott, Fred and Donny – dream signing ? no , but considering our situation should get that done. Though thats even in doubt with a Juve renewal a possibility.

United must stand firm on the Mount situation, the ability to say no and walk away is immensely powerful. If they're smart, they'll make Mount an offer for next season and nick Caicedo now and get Rabiot on a free, that will help the mid-field.
